I think Shane shooting Otis to exact revenge about Carl is totally plausible in the universe, and that the writers certainly knew what they were doing in relation to it. The burn is far too slow for the reveal of why he did it, though. Remember, Shane was losing it by that point, and he's probably pretty damn pissed about them being carted off to a magic farm because of that stupid Sophia. Unfortunately for him, killing Otis is what stranded them at the farm, for so long, as Otis could have told them that she was in the zombie barn.

No idea, but the webisodes won a WGA (Writer's Guild) Award, so they might be better than the broadcast series. That should bring lots of lulz to this thread.

Six billion walkers walking the earth looking for meat, no guard, not really even a concern. One crippled kid (left for dead by "his" people, heroicly saved by you) and suddenly operational security is shot to hell. Yeah, that makes ****ing sense.

Good call Glen, no soldier has ever returned from battle with a piece of ass waiting for him. Solid decision, give her to Karl.

Yeah it was awkward. I just chalked it up to Herschel being drunk.

This too. TWD is hardly the only show to ever have this problem, but I think reasonable people would be extremely cautious and paranoid given that the world is full of nearly unstoppable dead things that never sleep. Dale was good about it for a while but I guess they feel safe here, despite their knowing that there are zombies all around in walking distance. Oh but some rednecks? Now let's take things seriously

Maybe this show is an epic reverse thing and the rednecks are like, interesting, engaging, and sympathetic characters and the people on the farm are the bad guys.

Does anyone remember the scene at the opening of one of the episodes early this season where they showed a short flashback of Lori and Shane when it all started, when the army were throwing napalm on Atlanta street from helicopters? Damn I'd like to see more of that stuff. Even if it'd be a bit of a borrowed idea, I'd love it if they'd show a flashback of what each character did upon the outbreak bursting one episode at a time or something. Or then just have a reminscing episode that just shows a ton of flashbacks from everyone's perspective.

+59347 on that.

I wish there was more background story shown (i.e webisodes between seasons if the creators don't want to go all "Lost" and create character-centric episodes with flashbacks).
Would be really cool to see how it all started and how it gradually got worse.

This show would probably do well to rip off Lost a bit. A little suspense and mystery, and maybe some character development. Would a long way in keeping things moving in between zombie attacks.

That'd be a great idea dude, however knowing the writers and their love of dragging out a storyline the audience doesn't really care about, the chances of this ever happening, slim.

That was in the original plan for the series from day one, but it was shot down...

I liked every part where there wasn't a talking scene.
