The Walking Dead Season 2 (Premieres Sunday 10/16 at 9PM ET on AMC) - Page 2

Sepinwall and Fienberg were very positive about the first 2 episodes back. That was after Fienberg acknowledged episodes 2-6 of the first season were awful.

Both very well known reviewers.

So this is good news. Hopefully it reverts back to the first episode quality. That would make for an excellent show. With the way it's developed it's characters though... it might be doomed.

I hope we get a LOT more of the black guy from episode 1. I loved him in Jericho too. Dude's expert in post apocalyptic situations.

Loved the pilot, didn't like any other episode of the show enough to be excited for the next episode. Tonight is do or die if it doesn't grab me I'm done.

Despite the fact that most of last season got progressively more ridiculous and ******ed, I'll still tune in to see what's up. The premise is sound and the show can still be turned into something pretty awesome if they try. Like everyone else says, the first episode was very good, so they just need to kind of capture that spirit again.

looking forward to it tonight. Like others said, it's not the greatest thing, but I liked it enough to marathon the first season in two nights.

I remember the blurays making pretty good use of 5.1 sound too

Also literally every other part.

Anyway, we're 15 minutes in and those reviewers were full of **** about it being better. So far we've had:

1) An atrociously melodramatic voiceover-by-means of radio call thing
2) The zombies losing their sense of smell from the first season
3) A character getting like wistful about taking dead people's ****
4) Unfathomably ******ed behavior by everyone

the series plays out like a vide game, a JRPG game. every episode someone is missing or gone and they spend all but the final 5-10mins finding that someone or getting unlost or something like that. I dont think we have seen a whole peisode where its a while group w/o someone getting lost or something like that. always have to do something

See the problem with this show is that all the characters are so ******ed and emotional I'm not sure if I'm supposed to sympathize with the mother because Rick ******edly left the little girl out there by herself or with Rick because the mother is being unreasonable.
