Im sure this was discussed in here already but I really didnt get why Lori was pissed that Rick killed Shane. That was extremely annoying and pretty ****ing ******ed. So yeah I want to see her get eaten preferably by her soon to be zombie son, Carl.

It was discussed, or more accurately it was laughed about ITT. I'm pretty sure the writers don't even have an answer to that.

Can anyone who understands the industry explain why even though they all know that the whole world hates lori and carl and want t-dog to speak, they still make sure we get as much lori/carl time and as little t-dog time as possible.

The show is written/produced long before they can get that kind of "helpful" feedback. If a network cares about what people watching the show think, there is some possibility that sort of stuff can be addressed in between seasons. It will rarely happen during a season, unless the network hates that sort of thing more than you do.

Thanks. They have no reason not to off lori on the first ep of season 3 though.

That's extremely unlikely to happen, but you won't find a single person on this board rooting against that possibility.

The thing about Lori is that when you get right down to it, her character is actually bats*** insane. But none of the other characters act that way. They are dragging around a legit mental patient who is treated like a fully functioning member of their crew.

What I haven't figured out yet is whether it's just a wild oversight by the writers or a joke on the audience.

I don't think the writers have treated anything on this show as a joke. However, you can go through this thread and find hundreds, if not thousands of oversights....

I def dont understand the industy but for whatever reason the writers are missing a step here. They could easily fix Lori's character and the t-dog situation. I seriously dont see them offing Lori anytime soon though but something needs to be done about her constant over acting to almost every scene she is in. I dont really remember her being this dramatic in prison break.

If they off Daryl at any point, that is when I stop watching the show and mark my words, that will be the downfall of the walking dead

Rosseau survived until Season 4 right?

Lost was filmed under the old style production where the entire season wasn't shot in advance, like they did try to respond to audience feedback in season.

The Walking Dead is an entirely different animal. They are legitimately trying to make good television and by some metrics they are failing. 7 million viewers a week, though, makes it tough for them to change.

I don't think Lori's character can be saved. I really don't care what happens to her. The character is senseless, inconsistent, and boring. Tempted to say poorly acted too, but a young Kathy Hepburn probably couldn't make that role work. She's a dud.

Now I'm Lost. Are you saying it's harder for TWD to shift on the fly?

Yes, because the entire season is shot at once before any episode actual airs. LOST, and other major network shows, are shot over the course of 8-10 months, and generally start filming a couple months before the season premiere, so if there's something the viewers have a really negative response to, they can cut it.

Nikki and Paulo would be a better example from LOST than Rousseau I think. They were introduced in the first six episodes of LOST that aired in the fall and the viewers HATED them. Once more episodes started airing in the spring, they were quickly shuffled off screen.

Okay so in Lost they could cut and paste scenes if something clearly wasn't working. Makes sense now.

In my post I was comparing Daryl:Rosseau. Outsider, wielding a crossbow, speaks broken English, and a bit cough cough scruffy.

I love that last season everyone was complaining they were stuck at the Magical Farm, and now this season, they're going to be in a prison. Literally.

The scene at the tavern was by far the high point of s2 imo.

I don't even remember what happened in the finale other than a burning barn full of walkers and people starting to turn on Rick at the very end.

Don't forget about Lori getting mad at Rick for doing exactly what she told him to do.

Not sure if you mean that she asked him to kill Shane like 3 episodes before he killed him. Her amnesia was bizarre, as well as the amnesia she had about Shane's attempted rape of her in the season 1 finale. That woman is mental.
