Earlier in the thread I mentioned how they released Walking Dead trading cards. Well surprise surprise they're a huge hit. Originally boxes were selling for about $60, but fast forward to now and they go for.....$200!!!!

Is it simply a case of people being told that they want something and that it is a "collectors item" which people understand as "item that will appreciate," and so it artificially does just that since both buyers and sellers expect it to?

The plots are loosely similar, but there are massive differences in how the two have developed. Season 1 was probably a bit closer to the comic, season 2 is mostly completely new stuff.

The prison that you see at the end of season 2 features heavily in the comics, so season 3 will probably very loosely continue on the trajectory of the comics, but I expect there will be large deviations.

Yo I just saw a preview for THE WALKING DEAD SEASON 3 PREVIEW WEEKEND on July 7/8. They're behind the scenes on season 3, they're broadcasting the first two seasons again (HOSTED BY CHRIS HARDWICK), and they have the WORLD PREMIERE of the PILOT EPISODE in BLACK AND WHITE!

If you loved The Walking Dead before, just wait until you see it with LESS COLOR!

I almost didnt watch this series. I saw it on netflix and figured it would be cheesy so I scrolled right on by. I decided to click on it for a second and the quality was poor but it was because the amount of MB wasnt set properly. I watched it for 15 minutes and got hooked from there.

I hate you have to wait months before a new season starts. I wait til each season is over and watch all the episodes at once. One episode a week just doesnt cut it for me.

The next season should be interesting to see where they land and who else dies

The writers will be in a laughably tight spot next year. They get **** now for being racist for only giving their token black guy a few lines of dialogue that are all very stereotypical token black guy lines of dialogue. Now in Season 3 they should want to give him more lines, but that will look like they just finally comfortable writing for a black character now that he's in his element - prison.

what a ****ty position for the guy playing T-Dogg to be in. He may have had hope that his character would be fleshed out more, but by now he has to realize that he is the token black guy. Yet this is surely the biggest pay check he's had coming his way ever, and likely will be the biggest he ever has. Pretty sure I'd just happily do my lil jig for the paycheck as well.
