my only nit this episode is these guys firing at targets on a grass bumpy field with a hand gun from 30 - 40 meters away - shotgun MAYBE but those guys are like ninjas with handguns

super thumbs up for Michonne - she's my absolute favorite - (this from a guy who keeps prop katanas and wants a real one someday) -

as far as Rick and Carl being surrounded by walkers - it seems like you had this really long chain of them, and then when they hear the shot, they turn 90 degrees and mass forwards - some of them could have converged on the flanks before Rick and Carl made it to the house - I like how they did set up what this herd was doing - (there have been a few in the comics, so you know, gives you an idea)

-------------------------------

I'm gonna lose all hipster cred here (thank god) - but I'm a big zombie film nut, and I really liked seasons 1 and 2 - this isn't just about zombies - in my mind, the zombies are just a mindless natural disaster or something like a tidal wave - not a force of evil - the story is man's reaction to man when in imminent danger - what happens to the good and the bad, the weak and the strong

the comics and the tv series have moved at about the same pace and it's been just fine for me - I'm eagerly awaiting season 3 but fortunately I should be able to get another 6 issue volume from the next few issues shortly

loriface making me miss daleface

The infection reveal is absolutely meaningless.

Is the prison supposed to look like a good place to hide or a really dangerous box of 10,000 zombies?

The dialogue was almost as bad as the zombies were good.

Wow, those people became CRACK shots.

They are SO dumb. Hershel and Rick have waited for how long? A few hours? And it's time to move on??????????? WHAT?

Rick's son, as soon as they got to the highway (nonstop driving I imagine) IMMEDIATELY wanted to turn around and go out looking. Why? Why can't you wait? Why would they get there before you if you just got there after driving without stopping? WTF.

HOW IS THIS A SERIOUS DILEMMA.

An episode with a badass ninja, magic fence sighting, and lines for T-Dogg? Things are looking up! Now if only they would kill off Lori instead of whatshisname and whatshername from the farm.

From the comics:

the shooting was pretty funny - everyone is a ****ing crack shot

lol lori face

the chains were confusing, seems weird that infected crazed zombies would stop being infectd crazed zombies just bc they had no arms

so that's a prison? I don't understand where that's supposed to go - I assume its the "safest" place to go from the zombies but presents the fact that its a ****ing prison so that will be a plot point that will elicit awful dialogue and discussion

finally someone with a samuri sword! yes.

why did they need to drive around the farm at 60 mph when they were just shooting? They could have been going like 5 mph. I guess they shoot so well it didn't matter

the running out of gas thing is so beyond lol

There were _thousands_ of cars - that is so inexcusable

Hello all, first time long time whatever.

Not saying I have a bad memory, but I had/have no idea who Partricia and Jimmy were/are until I saw their clips replayed on Talking dead.

I know! I think if the only standing between safety and being eaten by a zombie was having to sit on somebody's lap for a bit, I'd be able to handle it

Makes total sense, Rick's a cop, and seatbelt laws must be enforced even post zombie apocalypse.

wow last 2 episodes and 5 minutes have been excellent, after nothing but disappointment and unintentional comedy since S1E1.

loved every minute of this episode, including the absurd headshots while driving 45 across grassland.

Also, rick is worst guy ever at keeping redshirts alive. Seriously he has the guy pull up and stop in the middle of a pack of zombies, and he wasn't even ready to go? Have the guy drive up, jump on top and drive away. jimmy/johnny/ralphie didn't have to die!

loled at andrea running for 9 hours straight and killing countless zombies even after running out of ammo and then failing to kill the LAST ZOMBIE THAT WAS CHASING HER

Lori gonna lori.

So good thing they had all those shooting lessons because they are awesome shots now. Should have kept some ammo though...

Yeah I'm wondering this too

Presumably zombies couldnt get in, but I guess we just found out that if anyone died inside there would be infection anyway

Seems like it would be easier for them to write that its a million zombies but either way is in theory a cool potential plot

If they keep the pace, the show will be good, despite the bleh dialogue and directing

While Rick was giving his lame speech, I couldn't help but wish for a zombie to leap out of the shadows and bite his neck off, Sam Jackson in Deep Blue Sea style

Zombie on chains is just silly. It looks cool, but these are zombies, not trained lapdogs. Even without arms and jaws, they'd still be trying to bite her nonstop

Awesome first 20 minutes (well, except that everyone is now the greatest shot in the world), then the dialogue started and it sucked, then sword lady came and it was awesome.

So while everybody else in enjoying a cozy campfire at the end of this episode T-Dog is still the one who has to keep the guard and apparently nobody seems to give a **** about him. Classic TWD.

It's funny how no one ever wants to stay in one place or in a group. They always want to wander off or go looking for someone.

Ain't read the comics, but I guarantee Andrea and Michonne gonna lez in the show

Which, for these writers, means they're gonna make faces at each other, one will blush, the other will grab cooch, then the next scene they'll be doing laundry together

Ya I thought this was the best part of the whole season. Everyone is freaking out and Hershel just goes God mode with the unlimited shotgun

Clearly that was the farmer john perk kicking in, but I can forgive the unlimited shottie ammo in lieu of a pretty decent episode.
