They really blew the barn shooting. Weren't some of those zombies supposed to be Herschel's wife and son or nephew or something? No recognition by him or his other family. Lame.

Herschel freaking out when Shane shot up that zombie was one of the few realistic parts... his whole belief system was shattered on the spot and he had to deal with the fact his "sick" family members weren't going to get better.

So to recap to the mid-point of 2nd season

-Little girl gets lost
-Emo retards search for little girl for days
-Little girl becomes zombie and is killed

And I wasted 7 ****ing hours of my life on something that should have taken like 2 hours max?

And yeah I know some of you are going to say "character development." With these ****ty writers though I now hate most of the characters and wish 90% of them would die.

Anyone else pissed Shane killed the roped zombie before we could figure out how exactly they unlocked the 3 locks on the barn and put them in without any zombies trying to come out? What a cop out by the writers

Thank heavens for Michelle MacLaren. She is such a ****ing great director. Not only did she direct the "One Minute" episode of Breaking Bad, which also ended up in a 10-minute climactic action scene that was an epic showstopper, but she managed to take a show that actually sucks (it's probably harder to direct a crappy show and make it look good than a great show) and give it an equally epic climactic action scene.

Although Dominic is right that the script should have included Hershel's wife and son among the dead walkers (or recognition of them), he's wrong that "they blew it." That was about as well-made a sequence as I've seen in 2 seasons of this wet stain of a show. And it started with Shane's ENOUGH! tirade, built the tension and energy, exploded with the massacre, then finished with the gut-punch of Zombie Sophia. Great 3-act mini-structure, beautifully directed.

Too bad the other 40 minutes was Retard Land. Dale sucks.

Hehe, Shane is just the best part of this show now and its not even close. Woulda liked to see him turn around and pistol whip that old bitch of a man that kept the walkers in the barn and just become king of the farm.

Has anyone read the comic books? Is the show mirroring the plot of the comics? If so, lol that this was made into a tv show.

Pretty sure they made the connection but didn't tell them about Sophia because they didn't want to reveal that the barn was full of walkers. Why they didn't tell them after everyone found out about the walkers...I have no idea. If it turns out they didn't know it was Sophia then JFC this show is actually even worse than I thought it was.

That actor is British and is a gigantic pussy. I think ive posted that in this thread before.

first time ive actually felt emotionally involved.



and it made me think. we harp on how ****ty the other characters are, and how ridiculous some of the scenes/stories are, but what would shane be without them?

its hard to think of a show id want to watch when everyone is just running around cold blooded and surviving. it would be pretty boring.



now we are set up for major major conflict. will shane be the new leader? will rick step and be a badass? what will they do with herschel?

all in all, i thought the episode was decent. shane slowly going nuts built up to the showdown at the end. ill keep watching in february.

These writers don't understand 1) reality 2) zombies 3) writing. I'm surprised the show hasn't been cancelled due to half the staff forgetting how to breathe.

The final sequence may have actually been pretty good if Zombie Sophie was actually a zombie instead of Klassic Sophie making Krazy faces
