Is Tara really, finally dead? If so, did her mom kill her?

I don't know what the answers to your questions are, but what I do know is, I can never get that hour of my life back. That sucked, if that's indicative of this season's quality, I am done. I would rather not watch the last ten+ episodes, like Dexter, and be better off.

Agreed. First episode was awful and boring.

The previews for the upcoming season looked REAL boring.

I forgot, was there some sort of time jump at the end of the 6th season? None of the story lines are very interesting. Pam is about the only character that did anything even semi-entertaining the whole episode. I'll probably stick it out just because we're so close to the end though.

i hadn't considered this before, but this definitely makes some sense. if a vampire killed tara, shirley they would have taken or killed the mom too.

the mom sensing tara's presence makes me think we are in for another Lafayette talking to the dead storyline where Tara tells him that her mom killed her.

My general impression is that every storyline is awful with the possible exception of 'where is eric, and what will he and Go Eff Yourself do once she finds him'.

-Infected vamp in a standoff dying in the sun rather than attacking jessica was super dumb. I would never assume a bayou infected vamp would be smart, but i would expect him to be willing to fight a teenage girl vampire rather than stand still and burn to death.

-failed mayor confronting sam, then confronting bellefluer. he's such an obvious weenie of a character, but rather than deal with him, the principles will just let him do his thing until eventually he screws something up in the future and puts a bunch of people in danger/killed.

-was incredibly confused and wondering why they were introducing new main characters with jessica's vampire boyfriend, but a quick google shows that it's the same character from the prison, just recast.

-violet. She was a great character when she was a quiet badass running the show in the prison block. Then she was awful as a jealous girlfriend type character outside the prison. Now as a hot naked chick, she's back to being a great character again.

The fact that her death happened off screen makes me suspicious that either the pile of goo was not her or that her mom had something to do with her death.

I really didn't think it was that bad by true blood standards, i enjoyed it fine. The bar is so super low already it's hard for me to be disappointed at this point.

And im sad to say, zero chance tara being dead. It happened off screen for **** sake, and secondly pam woulda felt regardless of her liking/loving her, she is her maker and she never released her, just threatened.

The opening 4 mins and the final 47 mins ruin every episode.

I think I am finally done with this show, I FF'd through the first 45 minutes. I just don't give a sht about any character other than Pam and Eric. I am tired of Sookie's act, Jason is funny, I couldn't care less about the humans chained in the basement.

I will keep checking in here to see when Eric and Pam come back.

LOL, as I am deleting my season pass Pam finds Eric.

the writers in planning this season must have put all their ideas down and were very proud of themselves for a great way to wrap things up and give closure to each of the characters.

then they stepped back and realized they had only written 2 episodes worth of material.

so to fill up the rest of the season, now we get junk like tonight where the entire episode is completely pointless.
-how are we gonna escape the basement
-oh, new character is introduced that they know
-yep, she agrees to break them out
-nope, now shes dead
so yea, absolutely nothing happened to anyone except a new character they introduced solely to kill time.
