I caught up on this recently. I thought it was really good. Moss and Mullan both deserve mini-series Emmys for their performances. The visuals were fantastic. I thought it told a damn good story. The twists worked for me, as did the ending. Can't really come up with any criticisms. One of the best things on TV this year.

If you want to see the actor who plays Johnno's ridiculous range, check out The Bridge.

Is any show allowed to have even the slightest feminist undertones without it being labeled "anti-man"? Some dudes get so butthurt... the series is fundamentally about the constant danger, physical and sexual, that women find themselves in, often at the hands of men, often at the hands of close friends, associates, and even family. That's real ****in life. It's not as though the show is devoid of respectable male characters, though (Johnno, Jamie primarily).

30 posts?

I thought this was a near masterpiece.

Breaking Bad like intensity.

i quit the show after an episode or two. i could tell it was quality stuff, but i was just kinda bored. everyone kept telling me how great it was though, so i tried again. and i loved it! really, really great show.

it's nice how some other countries are making some great tv, The Fall, and of course Les Revenants to name a couple

Meh, I don't think post count is really indicative of anything. Some shows have a style well suited to long discussions on speculation, symbolism, etc. Some don't.

As well, it's a short mini-series, which is more along the lines of paddling out to the middle of a lake and sitting for a while while the waves gently rock you. Sometimes another boat's wake spices things up, but you're not hydro planning across the surface in a speed boat.

controversy is often what really gets a thread going, or like if there was an incredibly annoying character in an otherwise great show.

was a little too rapey for me, i got a little bit of a rapeception kind of vibe with the rape victim investigating the possible rape.

as with most things, i feel tv/movie rape is better in moderation.

I felt like it had just the right amount of rape.

3.5 eps in. Gf and I are loving it.

Mr. Mitcham is a great character. Stealing every scene he's in.

Good news indeed. Between this and Season 2 of The Missing being cast/announced, it's like my 2015 OOTV top ten ballot is coming back to life.
