Um...there's no shame in banging Corrine if Malcolm did indeed smash...her body was looking all types of good in that blue bikini in FvF2

Is Natalie the twin that won or the one that sucks?

In for Andrea, Malcolm and of course Team TV

The odds are very tounge in cheek based on how many people think JT & Tony are two of the best players ever.

I thought that was obvious....

This cast would have been pretty amazing if they had put in Kim and Sophie over Sierra and Aubry.

I don't think Kim would have the same result if the tribes hadn't been split girls versus guys and the guys hadn't been complete train wrecks. I'd love to see her on another season.

Too bad they can't get more past winners out but I'm sure they have their million already and don't feel like living on a beach eating nothing for five more weeks to prove something.

Kim has like 3 young kids, so she was never playing right now. Earl was wanting to play but backed out due to work commitments, which is a shame.

I'm reading pregame interviews and Hali didn't even watch Cambodia or Koah Rong.

Tony had been casually watching the show for like 16 seasons before he played in Cagayan.

IIRC Hali had barely watched a season before World's Apart, and she hasn't watched since. She's like a 2x recruit. People will compare her to Kelly Wiglesworth but I'm skeptical about Wiglesworth.

Fishbach said she knew a surprising amount about Drew Christy, & Wiglesworth talked about how her mom is a super fan and had kept her up to date on Survivor Oz.

What are the lyrics that get sung during the Survivor theme song?

My kids are trying to convince me it's "Ay-O Ay-O Ay-O banana"

lol

no idea, but it's the greatest theme song ever

edit: some research reveals that it's from a Russian folk song called "Poidu Vyidu na Ulitsu":

E-e-o-ee, lyo-lee-lyolee, lya-a-lee, lyo-le-lyolee Da ra
Zygrayuv khorovod, da ya
U miligo v varot.

Interesting. Who would have guessed a Russian folk song?

I'm still singing along with Ay-O Ay-O banana

New twist: there will no longer be a re-vote in case of a tied vote at tribal council. Instead, there will have to be a unanimous decision on who to vote out, or it will go to a rock draw.

This could really be interesting, as it stops the alliances in power from doing things in the past like splitting votes in order to play it safe or flush an idol. I love it.

Spy bunkers, clones, idol framing...

PLEASE GOD DO NOT LET TONY GET VOTED OUT PRE-MERGE

The scenario given by dalton Ross interview with probst:

Majority 5 Vs minority 2. Majority plans to split 3-2. In the past the minority is screwed. Either the minority with 3 votes goes home or plays an idol leaving a 2-2 tie which is settle by revote.

Now the minority could possibly vote to force a 3-3 tie (with good Intel) or the backup plan of revoting 2-2 is no longer allowed. (Since the minority will never agree to a unanimous self vote out. The minority could also say to the majority: agree to vote out your person. We are either out or drawing rocks so we have something to gain by going to rocks. Sucks to be you. Send your own tied person home or reach in the bag...

Interesting. I guess they're trying to make "game changers" have a broader meaning like they did with second chances.

I predict it won't affect anything though other than getting rid of even split plans. I think they will still go for the odd splits and chance that the other side doesn't figure out exactly what they're doing. Nobody ever seems to think they're going to be the one to draw the white rock anyway.

I wonder if this will cause more people to stick together early on so they can still vote split. Could be 7 or 8 people voting together before the first swap.

I'm pretty sure that the people that are tied for votes are not part of the unanimous decision. So a majority of four or more can still split votes against a pair. However if one of the pair plays idol then they can negate those votes and force the tie and the idoled player should be able to be part of the decision and also is immune from the rocks.

This change could show the different levels that players think on and could lead to interesting positions. For example I think it would still be correct for a bigger target in the majority to push for a split vote. If it's a choice between going to rocks or risk being idoled out by the minority alliance then for someone like Malcolm the rock draw may give him higher odds of staying in the game.

Thanks, this was amazing. An absolute must read for all fans. Tony is incredible.

For those who didn't click through, you need to click through and read it. To whet your appetite:

Tony Vlachos (Cagayan): Let me tell you, spy shacks are very effective, especially on a season like this. If you can hear anything solid that one person says to another, I can use what one person said against them. If two people are talking and I hear what they say? I’m going to go up to Person A and say, listen Person A, this is exactly what Person B told me about you. And I’m going to verbatimly tell them exactly what I heard, therefore he has to believe that that came back to me. I just pitted those two against each other!

Josh Wigler (Survivor press, Parade): The problem is…

Tony Vlachos (Cagayan): The problem is, they’re going to be looking for them. I can’t eavesdrop from a spy shack anymore. So I’m taking things underground. I’m going to build a spy bunker.

Josh Wigler (Survivor press, Parade): You’re building what?

Tony Vlachos (Cagayan): There’s going to be a spy bunker, man. I’m going underground.

Okay, gotta post one more, since Tony is ****ing ingenious, and this one might be worth discussing. If he does find an idol, this trick should totally work if executed properly, right?

Tony Vlachos (Cagayan): I have three priorities, man: find the idol, find the idol, and find the idol. I’m going to be the idol hunter out there. I have to try to find the idols. I have to try to find the idols. And when I do find the idols, I have another trick with them.

Josh Wigler (Survivor press, Parade): And what’s that?

Tony Vlachos (Cagayan): I’m going to idol someone out without even playing an idol.

Welcome to Tony’s third new trick: idol framing.

Tony Vlachos (Cagayan): If I find the idol, I’m going to put it in my pocket. I’m going to scope everyone out and find out who I want to target. Once I pick out my target, I’m going to go up to my target and say, “Target, meet me down by the water well. I have something to tell you.” Once he walks down the water well, I’m going to tell everybody, “Listen, Target A tells me he wants to meet me by the water, so I’ll be right back. I don’t know what he’s going to tell me.” I’ll go down there and tell him, “So, hey, beautiful day we’re having here!” And he’ll say, “Yeah, you know what? It is!” Then I’ll say, “Alright, just hang out here, don’t let anybody see us walking back together.” And then I’m going to run back to camp and say, “Hey, guys! He just told me he has the idol! Check his bag!” And I will have already planted my idol in his bag. I’m going to plant it in his bag, and I’m going to make it look like he told me to come down by the water so he can work with me. So I’ll tell everybody that he told me he has an idol, and everyone will check his bag and see an idol, but it’s my idol. He doesn’t know anything about what’s going on. Then I’ll tell everybody to get out of there before he comes back, and once they get out of there, I’ll take the idol out of his bag and put it back in my pocket. He’ll come up here and nothing will be going on.

Josh Wigler (Survivor press, Parade): You’re framing him!

Tony Vlachos (Cagayan): I’m going to frame everyone!

Tony was such a great player. And I'm of the group that thought he was insane and would get voted out really quickly in Cayagan. Although if he did that interview pre-game it was kind of stupid, he's telling the others what he's going to do before the game starts.

Also I LOVE the new rule about vote splitting. At least it will make more tribals a bit of a sweat even when the numbers are in a groups' favour.
