Ok, I've decided to let him in, but I agree that there should be a cost of some sort for being late, so I like the random pick idea. Small chance he gets Tony or Ciera, and at the very least he might get stuck with someone he didn't really want as an early pick.

In future seasons, I think I'll use this rule if people make their pick once the episode has begun airing, between 8:00 and the immunity challenge. If you make your pick around 8:50 when immunity has already been decided, but the votes haven't been cast yet, then I will randomize even more specifically between the tribe of people who are at tribal council. Once votes have been read at tribal around 8:55, I won't let anyone join after that point.

These rules are designed simply for people who honestly did not realize the season was starting, or hadn't noticed the thread, but I'll reserve the right to change it if I think someone is doing it on purpose to try to get some kind of advantage.

Anyway, clearly antneye is fine, so this time I will randomize between all 20 participants. Results coming soon.

This season of SS saw 57 entrants, slightly up from last season's 50 participants. Our two tribal council premiere resulted in 8 total eliminations, leaving us with 49 players remaining as we head into week 2. With a tribe swap on the horizon, it's totally up in the air how things will shake out next, so proceed with caution.
