It's mostly bull**** anyway. People born in 82 and 04 have such different experiences that it's hard to say they can be the the same 'generation'.

With how good Australian Survivor has been and how bad this first ep was I think holding off for a while is the best play. Four nights of survivor a week is too much

I had some stuff going on these last few weeks, so I'm only now getting caught up on Survivor AUS after watching the first 5 eps in real time. Anyone not watching Survivor AUS is really missing out, and it's a nice show to just jam 3 eps in a night.

Did Lucy even say a single thing during the first episode? I seriously have no idea why she was cast. I'm gonna predict she goes down as the most boring casting decision of all time

On my re-watch to get the metrics. She spoke in one scene and it was barely a sentence and had 0 confessionals. She was the only person in the first episode that did not have a confessional and her tribe even went to TC.

Is it a bad thing that I thought Lucy and Rachel were the same person?

Damn I really enjoyed those nature shots. First the lizard crawling on that leaf, camera pans to the insect, back to the lizard licking it's lips.

And then the beautiful shots of the storm, damn. Completely forgot about the evacuation.

I think there's like a 5 year bleeding period between every 'generation'. Like 60-65 your slightly too young to be a boomer but slightly too old for Gen X. 80-85 your slightly too young for Gen x and slightly too old for Millennials.

I bet anyone born in 2000 and is in high school right now won't really identify with the Millennial generation that grew up during the dawn of internet technology; they will be the first group that just has always had those things.
I'm born 81 and I agree completely!

I like that image. Also agree it's a bunch of fluff.

I hope the season will be good. I did enjoy tonight's ep so i'm looking forward to it, but i'm never pessimistic about a season after just 1 ep

I liked the old guy on the Milennials who started the fire. Cop and big lawyer dude on GenX seem pretty likeable. Forget her name but tall black girl on Milennials tribe is very hot imo.

I can tell already that I am going to hate Taylor and Figgy. Hoping the nerds gang up on them. I don't even find Figgy that attractive, Bible missionary is way hotter imo.

Season has promise.

And the hottest chick on the season goes home first. Boo. As a Millenial (barely, born in '84), I can attest to changing your dream on a whim, but to say we don't work hard or are too laid back... a Gen-Xer may work his 9-5 and then chill with a beer afterward. A Millenial will put in 20 hour days to find that shortcut, as to not work until 85 and die, versus retiring at 40 if possible.

The whole millennial stereotype is kind of dumb. I work with college kids all day long and most are studying to be a teacher or a nurse or work in finance or pre-law or pre-med or what have you. Regular jobs. The idea that they are all youtube professional gamers or snowboard instructors is pretty lol but I guess it works for the show.

Milennials are definitely self-involved and annoying but that is more a function of their age. Young people are self-involved and annoying by default. GenXers were also, when they were 22.

Most of my friends have normal jobs and Im 23. Me and my buddy were just talking about how they just shoved every stereotype into a tribe which makes for better TV prolly. Cant really blame em

We all know that after about four episodes they are going to do a shuffle anyway so then the whole premise becomes a waste of time. I don't even know why they bother with themes.

Also, when they picked their buffs at the beginning did I miss something or were they prompted which ones to pick? I thought it looked like a random buff picking but they all ended up with the one for their age group.

Not enough time yet to determine the greatness of the cast but I can see the cop and the jewish chick going quite far (and I thought after her interview she'd be first out on that tribe).

The packages had their names on them.

Also as anyone who has watched Survivor knows they dress you in your original tribe colors. So they all knew who they were going to be paired with just by looking around.

The whole "selection" process was stupid and a waste of time. Just start them out as two predetermined groups.

Yea the selection farce was pretty silly. We all can see they were wearing tribe colors from minute 1.

Does the winner seem super obvious to anyone else?

The premiere was the Hannah show. I bet she won.

I like this cast a lot. More older people and only one Mactor (Ken).

Zeke is great. No one watches Survivor: Brooklyn?

And Tai was the for sure winner after a couple of episodes last season. Lately the show seems to be slow rolling the winner in the early episodes somewhat.

I'd say that Hannah goes far but doesn't win. It's obvious the Producers like her though.
