I just watched the TVGN special, and...wow, I hate all of these people. I thought the bios made them seem bad, but this was ten times worse than expected. I count ~3 people I could see myself liking, and two of them are married to each other. It wouldn't surprise me if there isn't a competent player in the entire bunch, and this ends up being Nicaragua 2.0. Ugh.

If it was a regular season without any twists, this cast looks terrible. Blood vs water aspect and exile island should make for good tv regardless.

Any predictions on the first couple to pull a Rupert and possibly axe themselves? I can't see any of these pairs doing it. Maybe the father/daughter pair.

I think you guys are underrating Cagayan's cast. A lot of us liked LJ, Sarah, Spencer, and Garrett in terms of their ability to "run" a season socially and strategically. Aside from Jeremy/Val, I don't get a good vibe from any couple, and I feel like we could be set up for some doofus like Alec to actually have a lot of power.

And the idea that BvW improves things seems silly to me. Just because it kind of worked last time doesn't mean it's a good idea. I'm admittedly a huge pessimist at heart, but I haven't hated a cast this much since...well, since BB16 started, and we know how that's gone.

I think Alec could actually be good, but I'll cosign the rest.

For those interested, Michael Jefferson from One World is on tonight's episode of "Naked and Afraid". I recognized him from Survivor as soon as he showed up on the screen, but I had to go to Wikipedia to figure out the season. He was 2nd juror.

They're in Botswana, he has a horrible partner and it looks freaking miserable. Survivor would be way easier than N&A.

Male & female contestant who have never met are left in some God forsaken place to survive for 3 weeks. Left with essentially nothing, not even clothes.

Sounds like Survivorman, but at least that guy knows what he's doing and talks you through everything he does. Do they at least win money or something if they can survive?

I wouldve picked the same predictable answers for most of them based on ONLY their picture and profession. That's a pretty big red flag to me, these people have no personality. Jaclyn picking Jefra because she also won some stupid beauty contest instantly tilted me.

Believe it or not, I actually meant that as a compliment. It's sort of an "in the land of the blind, the man with one eye is king" insult where I think he is likely to succeed with this particular group. I don't think he's particularly good, though, and he'd be an afterthought in a better cast.

Winner pick: Jeremy. It's probably extremely stupid, and he'll get Brenda'd by the peons at some point, but I think I would hate myself if I picked anyone else.

The cast picture is so horribly photo-shopped. All the contestants on the right side are giants compared to the ones on the left. John Rocker looks like a dwarf compared to the Douche-Brothers in that picture. I assume it's because they had to erase the pre-game-med-evac couple but still that can't be the excuse.

I'm with you guys, on first and second impression they haven't casted anybody who would've fallen into the ivy-league, book-smart or strategic-juggernaut category which I do not approve of.

From the cast-videos I've not found anyone to root for specifically so far, maybe Dale and Jeremy if I had to pick one. I expect more of a random season with lots of emotions, conflicts and very mediocre strategic play.
