Surprised the lack of love for Katie's looks in here, imo she has to be in the top for this season.

I disagree. Lobby for Swan, if that doesn't work, throw one of the girls under the bus. When Malcolm asked him if he was really ready to go, he needed to give way more of an indication that he wanted to stay (and be a loyal follower of Malcolm.)

Contest idea for the thread. Survivor-Survivor. Each week, you pick one person who you think won't be eliminated. If you're right, you survive to the next week. You can not pick anyone you've picked in previous weeks. if all the remaining players are people you've picked, you're out. Last man standing wins. I don't have the time to run it these days, but think it could easily just be self-adjudicated if no one wants to run with it.

If other peeps are interested, I pick Zane.
Getting in late (work sucks) but if it's even possible, Gary has won this entire thread with this post alone. First, the perfect response to internet douchebags, then the game proposal, followed by immediately eliminating himself from the game by picking the 1 of 18 people to be eliminated.

This post should go immediately to the 2+2 Survivor thread hall of fame.

this is why he needs to blindside her before she tells anyone and before she makes the jury. just make her a non-factor and hope that she doesn't reveal it as she is getting her torch snuffed.

secret scenes:

SS Zane: Zane's tattoos are conversation starters. He told Denise about his Frankenstein tattoo, and she wanted to hide the machete.

Jonathan looks for the Idol: Dawson wanted to celebrate the win by jumping on Jeff (Probst, not Kent). Penner suggests exfoliation to lure everyone away from camp so that he can search for the idol.

Self-awareness is the key (Dawson): Sara is extra special. Class pastor. If trouble arises: plan A. Talk herself out of it. plan B. Dig a deeper hole than the one she is in and throw someone else in it...hide until subside. Super fan. Watched every episode, read every blog and interview, etc. Contemplated stalking Jeff Probst. She has excellent self-awareness...which is the key to Survivor. She loves the game and respects it so much. Doesn't appreciate it when other people come on HER show and HER television and poops on their opportunities.

Why I want to do it again: Skupin's legacy is killing a pig and falling in the fire. He's wearing a shirt that has a guy riding a pig on it. blahblahblah fell in the fire. It hurt. (Fruitiness is really detracting.) He needs to appeal to the 'this guy can help me' side of people. He has a great wife and seven children. That seems excessive. He can't see his middle game.

Tandang treemail: Treemail blessed them with swimsuits which spared us Phillip 2.0. RC is a bit of a fast talker...she has the vote geared to take out non-Blair if they lose the challenge. Non-Blair is looking forward to the challenge so that she can show she's not just the old lady. mmmmkay

I'm not scared of these people (Dana): She's a hairstylist (men only). It's stress free and easy. She's going to use her experience from her job to help her decide when to listen and when to talk. She's interested in the survivalist side of the experience...to see if she can do it. Holy moly. She used to go to a private christian school. Couldn't cut her hair or wear pants (jeez, having to wear skirts and dresses is brutal). It was a rough place to have to come out of the closet. She got kicked out of school and her mom had a mini-meltdown. She moved out when she was 16. Took a while to develop a working relationship with her mom. She tends to get along well with most people...maybe a religious person might sense that there is something off about her and have a problem with her, but she's not afraid of anyone.

people misunderstand what i do(Denise): Tends to lead with being a therapist, then follow up with the sex part at a later date because her occupation tends to get misconstrued. She is not a surrogate. She doesn't touch your bits, but she will help you become master of your domain if need be. She's not a prostitute or escort. Weaknesses she needs to keep in check: control freak/"pragmatically planful" , high energy, keeping her head in the game instead of on her family at home (specifically her 8 year old daughter). Has a huge work ethic...wants to contribute. Might be able to use her experience as a therapist to counsel people she is aligned with and keep them focused. The milly is not her number one motivation. She also wants to have experiences and provide an example of a strong woman to her daughter.

element of surprise is crucial (artis/shep 2.0): He's currently divorced, but he's working on that. Diagnosed with cancer in 2006-07, doesn't know how he got it, beat it. Mispronounces things similarly to a former Survivor contestant, but as yet does not appear to be as bat$#!% insane. City boy. But he's been without food and has had to sleep out in the elements. Thinks this will be a mental strain more so than a physical strain. However, his salivary glands were damaged during his treatment for cancer and he needs to take in an 'exorbant' amount of water to keep from getting parched. Also, he sweats 'profoundly'. His major concern is someone rubbing him the wrong way and not giving up on it. That could become not volatile, but extremely heated. Fortunately, he has a tolerance that is so high, he doesn't think anyone in the game can push his buttons that hard. At 52, his body can take more of a pounding than people half his age. He's a computer geek...for the gubberment.

SS cont..

i don't have an Achilles heel (RC): Her family is the most important thing to her. Not having that support will be tough. Lives in the same apartment building as her sister. Investment banking is cut throat...she is prepared for Survivor. Likes to be flirty, but also makes it known that she is not to be messed with. Huge fan of Survivor...has seen 24 seasons. She's an all or nothing type girl. Never been camping or even in nature...NY City girl. But she's tougher than the average bear. She's at home in the water. She doesn't think she has a weak spot--(that's probably her weak spot). She doesn't think of it as men vs. women, but she went to an all women's college, and she might look at the numbers and gather up the women and take out the men...because men always think they are in control, but they're not. She is not used to having down time, so that might be strange.

*WARNING* might want to skip this next one, Clovis
god knows who will win (roxy): She's a chaplin in the military. The purpose for a Chaplin is for morale...she plans to use that. She is well traveled. Chose God after college, wanted to use her leadership skills and chose the seminary. Also, from NYC. Jesus could live like a king, but he chose to put himself in a challenging spot...likewise Roxy has chosen to be on Survivor...she wishes all Christians could have this opportunity. Christianity is going to be in the game because Roxy is in the game. She wants to share her religion, but plans to be more tactful than ever before. She does not want to force her religion on anyone...not just to be nice...Christ is something one encounters and it has to be genuine...if it's not, she's just wasting her time. She's here to win the money, God can use her as a vessel, money is not to be worshiped, but it is a tool that can be used to do a lot of different things. She's here for the milly, if someone encounters Christ along the way, that's bonus. (I'm very interested in how this is going to turn out.)

I've dreamed about coming back (penner): 3rd time is gonna be the charm. He just turned 50 and this is the best present anyone could have given him. He had a blast his first time playing...scrambled a lot. His second time he was out to play a straighter game and prove that he was not the rat, the cancer, the bastard, that he was portrayed...didn't want to make the same mistakes that he made that would open the door for people to call him those names. (When I asked my mother in law if she remember Penner...she said, no...then I showed her his picture...she said...oh yeah, he was a jerk.) This time he is here for the milly. This is not play, it's his job. He thinks he had a win lined up last time he played...it was devastating to have that taken away from him. He dreamed about coming back for 4 years. He's so hungry for the win. His 50 days of playing Survivor gives him a leg up. It's his job to make his playing experience a blessing and not a curse. His Achilles heels are his reputation and his big mouth. He doesn't consider himself to be loud and abrasive, but he has been told that he is so he needs to keep that under control. He has to be nice. He doesn't need to call people out on stuff. If he does, he will win.

flirting is important (abi): Became an american citizen when she was 21 (she's 32 now). She's an entrepreneur. She adapts. She is social. She is going to be a positive influence in her tribe. Keep morale up. Charm everyone with her accent. Flirting is a big part of her game, but she is going to be mysterious about it so the other players don't feel threatened. She grew up on the farm, used to being outside and is in touch with the elements. She is fit...a samba dancer...she's very agile, fellas. She wants to win a million dollars and double up this money and save the children in the world.

i'm hoping i can keep that quiet (jeff kent): His life is split into two parts, his baseball life and the rest. Being able to control his emotions is going to help him in the game. 1. He's a fan of the show. 2. He competes. This is a challenge. He eats at McDonald's and wears dirty underwear just like the rest of us. He doesn't need the fame or the million bucks, but he'd still like to be the sole Survivor. Being a former baseball player has some negative baggage than can hurt his game. Also looking forward to testing himself on the survivalist aspects of the game.

i hope they know me for me(non-blair): She probably doesn't approve of me calling her non-Blair. Had a 'child hood star' season of life. Then a 'stay at home mom' season. Then, stumbled into writing books. Now, she's sent her kids off to college. Last summer she went on a vision quest. When she got back, she found she had lost her job. She applied for Survivor and whalah. Loooongtime Survivor fan complete with Survivor parties. Homeschooled her kids. Doesn't embrace her former childhood star status. She loves sports and is very competitive by nature. God is changing her...she notices shifts in herself.

i will put delaware on the map (katie): 21 yrs old. Miss Delaware USA. Goal to become a delaware state trouper. Used to watch cops all the time. Lost 50 lbs before trying out for Miss Delaware. Awesome to be able to say that she is one of the prettiest girls in the country. Not too many people can say that. Said Delaware about 80 times. She has a lot of state pride. Survivor is going to help prepare her for the police academy. She intends to come in first in this game. Will do smart things with the money (but may not be interested in saving the children). She loves to eat...finally we have something in common. Did I mention, that she loves Delaware?

I'll be the black sheep (pete): He loves sports, outdoors, speed, and danger. He's a model, but also an engineer. He was studying engineering and decided that it sucks (been there). Used to be a hard core gamer. He's been a little bit of everything. He can relate to a lot of different types of people. He's the social chameleon. Hockey and lacrosse are his sports. He has fancy play syndrome. He wants to be making big moves all game. (It's problem.) This is his element. He gets to be away from civilization and live in the wild. He wants to let someone else be the shepherd while he is the black sheep. Sometimes he talks down to people, but he is definitely, probably, not going to do that (he is totally going to do that). Any chaos that he creates will be beneficial to him.

deceive and destroy (malcolm): Football scholarship at Dartmouth, taught elementary school kids in Micronesia, coasting for the past year and a half. Studied economics with a focus on game theory and corporate strategies playing against rival companies. Doesn't want to over think it, but when he is expecting people to act in their own best interests and they don't, he may flip out a bit. (I have to wonder if he's reading this right now. Malcolm, are you out there?) Hopes he is kept around for his athleticism early on. Trying not to come off as too strategic. He's out here to win the money. He's not here for spiritual growth. He lived in Micronesia for a year, so he's not unfamiliar with the elements. He doesn't want to tip his hand on the puzzle challenges early on. Hopes to find someone else to stick in that position. He has bartending and southern charm going for his social game. He went to school to learn how to deceive people and make calculated decisions to destroy people. He agrees with me that his ego could be his downfall. Fan of Survivor. His mom wanted him to get a real job, so he got drunk and made a Survivor audition tape. He's dreamed about playing since he was in 7th grade. He likes his chances. Don't spoil the season for us, Malcom, but do say hi when it's over.

a restaurant and a tow truck (zane): All the jobs he's had form together to make him the perfect Survivor player. Clearly, he is the greatest of all time. Whirlwind courtship with his wife. Just because someone has tattoos doesn't mean that he's a douche. His wife is the best southern cook in the world. He planned to buy a restaurant and a tow truck with his milly. He's from the country. Learning how to live IS surviving.

For Jeff that might be his best bet. Once he's at the merge, he could make him THE most perfect player to take with to FTC.
You'd still have convince the jury though that you're more deserving for the million that most likely the charity angle that Jeff would pull at that point.

That would be one of the most epic twist of events in the history of the game. Edit him the whole season like he has not shot at getting the million because he's too rich already and then the jury doesn't give it to the best player because that's rather seen the money go to charity.
