I searched for a thread and found nothing on this show.

Just got done watching the 1st season and I have to say I liked it. Had a good season finale.

Always been a Jason Schwartzman fan ever since Rushmore.

If you like quirky comedy with Ted Danson & Zach Galifianakis this show is for you. Every scene seems like they are always drinking or smoking weed too.

danson was awesome in S1, i'll probably check out 2 if it gets reviewed well.

There was a thread for S1, maybe stuck in OOT proper.

I got tired of it by the end of the season and did not like the finale. I also hate Galifnaifdnosiankis in general.

However, since it's going to be I guess right after or right before Boardwalk Empire, I'm in.

I can't believe:

1) A show with Ted Danson and Zach Galifianakis has three replies and

2) I've never heard of this show before tonight.

I'm disappointed at the reviews of this show thus far. Was hoping it would be good.

Danson/Galifianakis are great, but it hurts the show that the lead (Schwartzmann) sucks. He's much better off as a bad guy in everything he does.

The cast is much better than the show. Galifinakis and Danson didn't get a scene together until episode 6 and then they were great.

Eh, this show is just kind of there. I'll usually watch it because its on after something great on HBO, but if it was on its own night itself, I wouldn't go out of my way to watch.

I watched the entire first season yesterday, I don't know why I didn't give the show a chance when it originally aired. Loved almost every episode.

Who was the hot girl in the class? I can't find her name.

Too late to edit:

Zoe Kazan I guess? Hair is totally different and I'm horrible with facial recognition. Breasts from Revolutionary Road (large for her size), NSFW:

I thought the show picked up towards the end, especially him running around in the S&M outfit. Danson's magazine being purchased by the religious right is bound to result in some funny storylines.

If you told me this episode was going to prominently involve an S&M suit, i might have skipped it, but despite being a little broad I really liked the episode.

I got about 5 minutes into the first episode and thought...this isn't doing anything for me.

Might have to give it another chance after reading the comments.

I don't watch this show but I caught the episode last night because it was on after Boardwalk Empire and I didn't feel like getting up. Didn't really enjoy it, but I also didn't dislike it. A lot of potential for great storylines I feel with this cast though, so I should prolly give it a proper try and watch season 1.

imo this show is about the same right now as Caroline in the City was in 1996. Caroline was sandwiched between Seinfeld and ER, so everybody watched it and it was always top 10 in the Nielsen ratings (#4 overall for the '95-'96 season). It was just barely watchable enough that you were too lazy to change the channel. HBO has me with their unspoken "Must See TV" Sundays with the emotional promos using songs like this:

I would not watch the show anymore if it were on Wednesdays by itself (even though I DVR it anyway).

Rating don't mean that much over here (in the UK) are they important in the states and what do they go by?

/completely off topic.

i liked it. i mean, like last season, sometimes it's too precious for its own good, but in all, i think this episode was better than most of last season's.

Agree. Show held its own through the whole episode.

Growing on me. Like FOTC.

The S&M suit was hilarious, just watching him having conversations in it was really funny to me. I really like this show, it's original and a nice change of pace from everything else that's on. Zack G's character is funny, Ted Danson's character is also written well in that he's pretty unique and his relationship with the main character is almost heartwarming.

these episodes are shaping up to better than season 1. the only thing that's been pissing me off for a year is that the creator jonathan ames wrote himself in as a main character.

That was writer/creator Jonathan Ames running around naked and showing off his small penis last night.
