Jay voted for Alicia because he was hell-bent on voting for her for some reason

Women are terrible at hiding there emotions during the challenges. No wonder Troy knew something was up.

You didn't miss anything; the editors botched this episode. That could possibly be a sign of a flip next week, but probably not.

This is why people like Jay don't win. The girls are dancing around at the IC when the guys fall off, yet he thinks he's in with them? Ugh. You deserve a seat in the jury box, brosef.

I thought Kim played pretty poorly after the IC, but I give her credit for making the right boot. All I could think of after Jay told her Troyzan was playing an idol was: man, this is a retardedly easy Jay boot. Props to Kim for seeing that. I don't think she handled the post-IC stuff as well as someone like Parv or Cirie would have, but in the end, she came to the right conclusion, and that's more than you can say for 99% of the people who've been in that spot before. Well done, Kim.

Re: Survivor: One World

I said at the merge that I thought Sabrina would be the swing vote at F9. Looks like it'll be Kat instead, which is much more interesting. I don't think she'll ultimately side with them, but a Tarzan-Leif-Troyzan-Christina alliance is way better than the alternative. I really hope Kat takes it.

Regarding the preview:

Kim already correctly surmised that Troyzan had the idol, and devised the appropriate voting strategy. Jay just confirmed it for her.

Re: Survivor: One World

How the hell do you not coordinate the votes onto one woman?

Leif and Jay stepping down like morons. We expect it from Leif but c'mon Jay. WTF?

And Jay, why are you telling Kim about the idol? What is the upside for you?

Having Jay sell out his closest ally (who presented him with an incredibly rational argument) shows how much trust he had in Kim, which is a credit to her game. It's sort of like the prisoner's dilemma: it makes no sense for either guy to sell the other one out, as their best overall move is to stick together. The fact that Jay even threw Troyzan under the bus is bad, but the fact that HE ACTUALLY DID IT WITHOUT KIM EVEN ASKING speaks to how well Kim is playing right now.

Last edited by K.O.S.; 04-11-2012 at 09:12 PM. Reason: and I think the presence of the idol itself is actually pretty irrelevant for this specific example
