- If the wine and cheese alliance does exist and Andrea feels like she's on the outside of it, then it makes sense for her to try to dissolve it as a way to prove herself loyal to other allegiances. She earned some trust there.
- Andrea did an interview in which she talked about her affection for Phillip, and this is where i think her choice really gains some traction. Phillip and Francesca are clearly not going to co-exist and Andrea knows that he trusts her and few others. It seems to me like she needed to choose a side, she's lived with the man before, he provides something of a vest and she actually enjoys him. If she chooses him and he wants Franny off, Andrea has to go that way or she loses Phillip. Essentially, she's choosing to be part of a potential core alliance over what she must have seen as a a fringe role in a different one.
- I'm not sure that the choice by Andrea to target Franny is as clear as you're suggesting. Certain things have to be siad to placate Phillip and keep his trust and the editors are certainly capable of capturing those moments and using them. Not saying it's 100% the case here, but that there are more sides to this story that have't been told yet and I'l be interested to hear where they fall.
I don't particularly fault Andrea for what she's done. It's her game, and she should play it how she thinks is best. If she wants to align with the annoying guy who wants to be in charge, that's on her--though it should probably be noted that she did it in a way that got herself targeted on week one. (I don't think it particularly helps her argument that her move looks very questionable for her game on the surface.)
Just saying I can understand if others who are closer to the situation are upset, I can see some merit in being upset from their perspective. I could tell Stephen and Francesca were annoyed on RHAP, but they stayed pretty adult about it, and that's the sentiment that I can understand. Whatever Eliza and Russell are spraying out in the world is probably some over the top bull$#!% that I would not understand.
Also, I totally agree with those who point out that Dawn and Cochran were just as responsible for Fran's demise. Of course, Dawn and Cochran probably benefit the most from a fractured tribe who is fighting amongst themselves. Particularly Cochran. He doesn't need a tribe that is just looking to make sure it's as strong as it needs to be for challenges. Voting off the other male who is probably the second least worthwhile to have in challenges probably not the best thing for Cochran. Again, I really think Fran hurt her cause when she threw Corrine's name out as an alternative to Phillip.
