Please pay attention to the formatting of the list because it makes it much easier to count. Use 10 rows, put your number 10 show at the top and 1 at the bottom. Template:

Your number 10 show is your tenth favorite show of the year, number 1 is your favorite.

Your number 10 show receives 1 point, number 9 gets 2 points, 8-3 points...up to 1 which gets 10 points.

No ties, every show must have a dedicated slot.


You are voting for the episodes of a show that aired during the 2014 calender year only. If you vote for a show that aired no new episodes during 2014 the votes won't be counted for that show.

All shows that aired during 2014 are eligible, scripted, reality, mini-series, game shows, talk shows, television specials, TV movies, shows on streaming services.


One entry per slot, and only 10 votes per ballot, if you try to cheat and use ties, your ballot will be thrown out.

Voting will stay open until the end of 12/26 and I will post the results shortly after.

You can use this thread for voting suggestions and general discussion, but it is probably best not to reveal exact lists so there is some suspense.

I think if you just read OOTV a little you have a pretty good idea of what the good shows are. Or what we think the good shows are anyway.

I'm gonna wait for people to list some of their favorites before casting my ballot. Otherwise i'm pretty sure i'll forget a couple good shows.

The HitFix linkthat I posted earlier ITT has something on the order of 100 shows in it; and according to a piece in Grantland (citing Variety magazine), there were roughly 140 shows that aired on US TV this year, so that should cover things fairly well.

It's great, now we'll get to see your lists 2 times, as opposed to one. Rizzee already posted a link that will help you remember nearly any notable show from throughout the year. It's not going to hit everything, but it will hit most. I'll post the link in again.

Just scroll down to the bottom of the page and most people's top 10s will include shows on it. You'll likely miss a ton of shows if you just go by most people's lists from here, since the tastes on this site are more narrow than the average TV viewer.
