Survivor Cagayan - S28 - Brains vs. Beauty vs Brawn - Page 4

This made me laugh considering that 90% of the posters in this thread (myself included) have a decent amount of Spencer in them. I'm not sure what I think of his chances yet, but I always appreciate gamers who simultaneously understand the television angle of the show. Spencer is going to be great TV; whether or not he can hack it socially remains to be seen, but I'm very optimistic.

Spencer and Garrett should get along. I have absolutely no read on what those three women will do, though, and I could see Samson being the odd man out or being an integral part of the core alliance. This is (predictably) the most interesting tribe for me.

Pete was a model/engineer at 24. While I'm sure Spencer is smart and all with his economics degree he is pursuing and chess but he is no Pete. I could be wrong but Spencer seems somewhat socially awkward, whereas Pete wasn't that way at all. I personally drew parallels to Kenny with him. They both are calculated, smart, young guys, who are extremely successful at games and seem to over estimate their ability to influence others to do what they want.

I agree that Pete is likely better with people. Might be helped by his looks. Pete doesn't have to overcome the nerdy vibe with people.

No you were right on many of the aspects, I just wouldn't have thought of Pete as the first person to compare Spencer to as all, even if they may have similar personality traits. Maybe it has to do with him looking physically less capable, whether that be aesthetically or athletically.

Thanks for being a part of this thread. How do non-celebs get recruited? Connections? Were they particularly looking for a poker player, and if so, do you know what other niches they recruit for (besides celebs, athletes, and models)?

any chance u were at skybar in west hollywood? My buddy got recruited there by a former contestant turned cast agent (Julie Berry) while he was chilling at the pool. She complimented his body and directly asked if he'd like to play survivor, but he turned it down. Your body is stellar (no h.omo) so if you were approached at a bar with your shirt on then more power to you. When you took your shirt off and told them about your profession + valedictorian background they must have felt they hit the jackpot.

You do realize that only 350ish people have ever played the game in history, right? There are 300+ million people in the US so I'd say that's a pretty damn good ratio.
