Seems like a normal guy who doesn't have an inflated ego. Being on the beauty tribe means that he won't have any negative game stereotypes working against him like too smart or too strong.

Get on the bandwagon before it's full.
I'm jumping on. Being on the beauty tribe while actually being brainy seems like a really good spot to be in. And anyone who loves puzzles gets my respect, cos puzzles are ***** awesome.

Kind of confused why gman06 isn't on the brawn tribe. Probably would've been better for him as well. If I ever were on Survivor I'd probably be on the brains tribe, and I would want to get him out ASAP. (n/o)

Pretty sure the ideal play for someone like Garrett would be to start an alliance off with David, J'Tia, and Tasha. Boot Kass at first opportunity, then dump J'Tia and Tasha and pick up what's likely to be a very desperate Spencer for a sound 3 of 5 majority against the girls.

Of course, the three tribe set-up means there will probably be an absorption at some point, so that's a risky play to have all of your alliance as one sex. Any thoughts? Three starting tribes game dynamics are often quite tricky.

I will quickly jump on the LJ bandwagon. By far the most impressive out of the videos. Also, Jeremiah = Nathan Marlow from BB4.

I'm enjoying that the pic of Morgan is posted 3 times so I see it quickly, repeatedly, as I scroll down to the bottom. Can it be the rule that it needs to be posted a few times per page?

I may finally be getting over RC!

A+ OP and it seems like an A+ cast. In for as long as the season stays unspoiled, then immediately out.

TID gman

(or Spencer)

I was recruited so at the time of the questionnaire I didn't know any former survivors.

I'd like to think I have a bit of Malcolm, Yul, and Boston Rob in me, even though they each are really different from one another

I'm in! Cast looks very promising, at least that's my 1st impression of the short cast introduction video in the starting post.
Not sure how this will play out strategy-wise but I think we'll see some great moments due to the great diversity of this cast.

Brains, Brawn, Beauty. ...That's the order I value the attributes fyi.

Beauty tribe:

Alexis: Cute, sweet, seems decent on paper. I could see her disappearing a bit or I could see her being like a Ciera. Probably depends on how well she can actually handle the elements. She's 21 from the Chicago burbs...I'm a little skeptical on her being comfortable in the outdoors.

Brice: This guy. "I can turn into a person-eating b*tch that will play you before you play me." Casting hasn't gotten it's fill of Colton yet. Also, they take the contestant's word on it for being good looking rather than using their own eyes. I don't like his chances.

Jeremiah: He seems sweet--probably too sweet. I don't like his chances. Humble. I'd think the elements shouldn't be a problem. Might do okay socially and in the challenges, but he seems the type to get used and abused by better players. Also, on him being on the beauty tribe...he really doesn't fit well into any of the categories. I'm not saying these guys are hideous, but you'd think the beauty tribe would be a cut above in the looks department, and these guys aren't.

LJ: Best looking of these guys on the beauty tribe. He has potential. His plan for manipulating people by leading subtly is good on paper. He is confident about his strength and puzzle ability. Sometimes people run their mouths about their prowess though, so I'll wait and see on those issues. He talks a good game.

Morgan: Sweet--probably too sweet. Cute. I can see how she could be really appealing to men, but I think I'd be with the guy who said 'too soft' if I was into that sort of thing. Not the type of body I wish I had. I tend to envy the athletic looking women (even though obviously Morgan types are wildy more attractive than I could ever hope to be). She strikes me as a potential liability in challenges and possibly not worth much around camp either. I don't like her chances.

Jefra: Says she is outdoorsy. I would think she would be more useful than the other two beauty women. I could see her hitting it off with Jeremiah. They claim common interests of fishing and hunting, and both are from the south. Unless the other tribes are dysfunctional in the challenges for some reason, I suspect this tribe is going to struggle in the early going, but I would think Jefra is more likely to make herself of use than the other two women and maybe be able to use better relationships to outlast Brice as well. I could see her tagging along for a while.

Brawn:

Cilff: I don't like his chances to win, but I imagine he will do okay early on if he's helpful in challenges and around camp. He's 6'10" so I imagine he will really stand out regardless of whether he gets recognized as a former NBA player...which I assume he will be. I just question his ability to mesh well and have enough sway in the long run.

Lindsey: This chick looks like an interesting character. I appreciate the athletic build. I question whether she will play well with others. I could see her being a little chip on the shoulderish and possibly impatient with others particularly if they aren't pulling their weight. Might not become an issue until a tribe swap. I don't like her chances for the long haul, but I could see her being in the middle of some drama.

Sarah the cop: Talks a good game, but I suspect she overestimates herself. I could see her getting really paranoid. She doesn't have a bad skeleton of a plan, but I question her ability to execute it. I'm a little skeptical about her, but she has a little potential. She might try to align with the other cop, and I could see him being an anchor.

Woo: Okay, I'll admit it. I've stared at Asian Fabio's media picture for several moments. I really appreciate athleticism and this guy appears to have it. I will enjoy looking at him (shirtless preferably) while he lasts. He seems very sweet and naive. Would have to slip close enough to the end to Fabio his way to victory. He thinks he has a clue, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't. I anticipate some dodo music.

Trish: She seems like the type that struggles a bit socially...though Brawn tribe probably a good draw for her. These are her Pet Peeves: Liars, laziness, manipulators, and arrogance. Not sure if the game of Survivor is her spot. "I know I'm going to have to keep my temper in check." Nuff said.

Tony: I like how he thinks he can change his personality and deal with things he hates like it's no biggie. He realizes he will be starving, sleep deprived, and competing against a bunch of strangers, right? Seems like a nice guy. I don't like his chances.

I would say Woo has a mix of Yul and Ozzy put together. Although from watching the vid he sure looks naive as I highly doubt he has Yul's intelligence. Prime candidate for a blindside because he's too likeable and athletic to get too far in the game. I like him though, hope he makes it.

Brains:

Garrett: I'm not sure how to do this and not get too awkward with my fawning. I don't generally like the body builder look because they tend to get too big and I prefer a leaner look. Garrett has hit the sweet spot. That media shot picture is just fabulous. Words not adequate, so I'll just leave it at that. ...And he's smart. Okay enough. I've listened to Garrett on the TP podcast, and have always enjoyed his spots. I appreciate the preparation he put in to get ready for the game, and suspect he was already well equipped. I don't know how one manages the difficulty of being such an obvious physical and mental threat, but I look forward to watching the journey--do you have the social chops, Garrett? (We are fresh off Tyson...so it CAN be done.) I have a lot of rooting interest here. I feel like getting put on the brains tribe is a liability though. Valuable in challenges to his original tribe, but then too easy to become a target after a switch up.

David: I think short man syndrome is a difficult thing to overcome in this 'interact with a lot of strangers under difficult circumstances' environment. However, if he can keep himself in check socially, I could see him slipping by under the radar as a non threat for a while. Smart guy. I question his ability to mesh with others...and I also question his ability to be able to finish if he manages to get to the end.

J'Tia: I think the elements will be an issue. Won't be able to handle the discomfort of deprivation. Odds of self destructing high.

Tasha: City girl. It's problem. She says she has been a fan since season 1. She is very excited about playing. Will have to overcome being a city girl though. May be the most useful woman on the tribe in challenges.

Kass: I think she will have trouble meshing. She says she has never missed an episode. Wants to appear her worst, then rise to the top. Seems a very Sandra-ish approach. I'm just not sure it will fly. I guess it depends on if she gets 'in' with someone else who is more socially savvy in the early going.

Spencer: I find this kid somewhat off putting. I question his ability to connect well with others. He doesn't want to come off as too aloof or too intelligent. Well, good luck on the former, and it will just depend on whether you can resist telling everybody how smart your are 24/7 on the latter. He reminds me of Pete, but possibly more deserving of his high opinion of himself. I'm hoping for some quality fireworks out of him if nothing else. He'll have to be very selective on who he goes to the end with if he wants to win.
