Glad to see everyone else is as confused about the rules as I am. I still binge watched it but man, it feels so fake/scripted at times and I have so many questions about everything.

One thing that I am surprised about is that most people ITT seem surprised/upset about Alex burning the money. If you're convinced you won't make it, how exactly is burning money stupid? Are you guys saying he should've waited until right before he's about to shoot his flare or something, to be REALLY sure he's not shooting himself in the foot?

I thought it was a decent attempt at blackmail, given the terrible situation he's in. Yeah, he'll probably make it in the end despite the odds, but he did take some big risk drinking the non-boiled water, and I'm sure he thought he was finished when he went ahead and destroyed it.


Also, makody was pretty awesome until they pooped into the water and wished for them to get legit sick. I mean, why not just punch eachother in the face or kill eachother with the machete at that point.

Also, trailer trash girl with the poop stains easily the worst of the bunch ainec, appendicitis or not.

Why aren't they boiling the water? Would be good if MaCody started actually finding their own food too and really sticking it to the campers. The constant moving around stops you from building traps etc :/

it seems like they want you to think they are the only humans on the island, but there are clear signs of people, like some of those paths had stairs and rails. and they said there is even crew there with them some of the time.

i think in some behind the scenes stuff they said the name of the island? i'm pretty sure people live on that island.

Taveuni, has an airport, bunch of ferries. Road around the island.

The temptations are good value (7.5k each for a days food, wash and morale boost) when compared to a $3k burger.

It's tricky with the rules because bs like jumping into someones tent and causing them to be homeless and potentially quit makes a mockery of the survival aspect. But then hard boundaries as to ownership are always going to be awkward.

A tent seems like a mistake in the list. A tarp would be more sociable and have less of the pettyness surrounding it that comes with a tent.

Hard to see anyone quitting in the final episode.


Wouldn't you tell Gina to take the box and then when she doesn't just give up and carry it yourself to increase the prize pool? If she sees you struggling and you're half way there she might help. Felt like that was a point where MaCody were just being petty and didn't want to lose a point to the other team.


What's up with Makani's accent?

If the rules were fleshed out at the start Cody should have carried the flare box on the first journey and ditched it in a bush. No group buys rest of game. Also no need to carry box on other journeys.

Still they can use resources to create a situation where they can boil water. That is the part I don't get, like they aren't even trying to do that.

They have a crew following them on the hikes, in one episode they all arrive to the money and when the camera shows the pile of money you can see 2 extra pairs of legs arriving to the campsite in the background.

So 4 extra legs?
