yeah that tent was the most tilting part of the show. just so incredibly unfair, and the way they were so self righteous about it.

"BUT YOU DIDN'T VOTE FOR THE TENT!"

The most interesting thing to me is how the in-crowd of SJW's are so self-righteous and hypocritical when they are winning, then go full blown victim-card when they are on a level playing field.

how the **** are they social justice warriors? the one guy is a reporter, a mouthpiece for corporations. the other guy is military, he shoots people for the corporations. the one girl lives in a trailer. as far as i know trailerparks aren't a hub for sjws. maybe one of the 4 them is a sjw? she's just more straight up idiot than any other stereotype.

makani is more sjw than any of them, and she's probably the only righteous one on the whole show.

It's a smart buy as you can survive on those 2 things. Much better purchase than the pizzas and burgers (lol).

----

Maybe wombat meant millennials? If you replace SJW with that then his statement is completely correct. "We bought you a tent" - lol no the **** you didnt. "He is finally carrying his weight" - lol what, Cody has carried the most amount on each hike, certainly in the later weeks

after 8 eps:
did they edit something out or are these people the most delusional/worst contestants ever?
i've spite called people, but not at the final table of the main event.

I apologize for using SJW too loosely. It was mainly their self-aggrandizing and delusional attitude of "my way is right".

my guess is that people are calling them sjws just because they are so fos and ass backwards idiots completely delusional.

and yeah, cody has been a beast on the hikes.

episode 8 hike
Spoiler:
makani carried like 40 pounds on that hike! i don't know if i could do that even with proper sleep and nutrition and hydration. if i had been on that island sleeping like crap and eating almost nothing, and in that heat. i really doubt i could do any kind of tough hike with 40 pounds on. i mean it was a struggle for the other chick who was carrying 8 pounds!

i think cody carried 65 pounds on that hike

its ****ed up how they give them $10 bills, makes it so much harder to carry. and if it got soaked like when they had to walk in the ocean, that would be brutal.

i would def consider leaving some of the $10 bills behind. it might be stupid to leave them, but i'd least think about it.

i read the reviews for the show on imdb. and i think there were more than one of them who seemed to think the people on the island were a reflection of the country and the trump election.

they called the one alliance the liberal majority(dems). and the other alliance were the outsiders(trumpers)

I presume someone in their group figured out that when they are buying stuff, they should use the $10 bills to pay. Maybe not though

lol! yeah, i was thinking both of those things too.

they still seemed to have a lot of $10 bills. they probably get new ones all the time.

at this point with like 10 days left, i'd be thinking about it like "i'm making 15k a day for this" that should help get you through the day, and influence spending decisions too.

if you're gonna make it to the end, that is actually your money you'd be blowing through. i mean how ****ing stupid would you feel if you make it to the end and looking back on the 5k burger you bought?

episode 8 idiocy
Spoiler:
or the money you lit on fire?!?!
Stranded with a Million Dollars (MTV's version of survivor) Quote

in the first episode they showed a bunch of clips of stuff to come on the show, and in one of the clips you can see

Spoiler:
money being lit on fire. when i saw it i assumed they got to a point where they needed to use the money as kindling to get a fire going. i mean that is totally worth it, and makes sense. i didn't imagine they'd be burning the money as a strategic maneuver!! lol!!!

Alex is a special kind of loser.

I tried to rank the vileness of the four campers but I couldn't as they are all such despicable people.

Alonzo's "IM A BUSINESSMAN" meltdown is probably best single example, but Eileen manufacturing arguments with Makani "NUH UHN DONT YOU TALK ABOUT MY FAMILY" happened so many times. Alex is king weasel and Gina is such a thieving, stupid person with zero integrity at all.

i mostly agree about how vile they are. but i was pretty impressed when the soldier guy passed completely on the temptation. he said something like "if my people are hungry, then i'm hungry too"

alex is a special kind of terrible, but i think the two women outdo him in vileness

i've been really impressed with makani. to me, it's obvious that cody and his minion were not her kind of people at all, but she reached out to them and was able to form a connection. i mean they had no other choice than to ally with each other, but i think both cody and makani have overcome prejudices and have grown to appreciate things in each other

my guess is that alex will watch the show and see his own hypocrisy. im not so sure if the others will see it.

Cody has had a game plan from the start and will put up with whatever he needs to, to win as much as he can

Makani seems to just be generally enjoying herself and the money at the end is just a bonus (or she will donate it all)

Agreed with others that makani is just impressive. Carrying all that weight on the last hike and her putting up with the nonsense that the Alex +3 group were throwing at her since week 2/3. Obv her experience in this type of environment is hugely helpful, but she is completely mentally aware of what needs to be done and how to get thru it. I think I would favor her if it was a winner type all competition

Cody is awesome, but Makani is the most likable person I've ever seen on tv. This show is great.

I think the two of them had a bond from the start. Cody just needed her to reach out first. I think they genuinely respect each other and will split the prize without even considering backstabbing each other when it's down to just the two of them.

no way did they bond at the start. cody only bonded with that one dude. he was out to get everyone else.

initially makani went up to the two of them, trying to reach out. it was at night and cody said something like "i'd never talk to anyone here if this was normal life" and makani thought he was a huge douche.

but i agree they genuinely respect each other. i hope you're right they don't try to backstab each other at the end. i could see it going either way though. if it was just the two of them, that's a huge difference in money.

it's interesting how when the scheming first started, makani ran off and cried. she couldn't stand it. and now, makani is scheming with the best of them.

it really got lord of the flies on that island

caught up on the show. generally it's good. very frustrating to watch and listen to everyone but Macody.

Wish the rules were more clearly explained.

Group buys = shared/owned by all....does that mean whoever gets possession of the item first, gets to keep it until someone else takes it? In other words, if you have the tent, no one else can use it unless you let them, or you leave the tent and someone else gets control of it? I think that's the rule, and that makes some sense. assume you can maintain control if you're within 5 feet or some defined spacing.

But what about group buys for pizza/burgers etc. Whoever opens the box and touches the pizza first gets it? That seems stupid.

Alex, Alonzo, Gina, Eilish were all very weak. The fact Cody/Makani carried more than Alex and 5x Gina was lol. I don't understand how any of the douchey 4 were able to consciously think they were carrying their own weight.

The preview for next episode looks a little over the top. Hope what's shown isn't really what happens. As for defacing currency, that's a federal offense. Clearly in the show it's not real money, but I wonder if MTV will treat it as real money and discount it from any winnings.

I'm quite confident if I was to play the game it would be the exact same as Macody. Possibly a little more ruthless if the rules let me. I would have fun out there too. Love camping. None of those hikes have been tough. One of the dumbest moves of the show was people cutting their shoelaces. Also the 4 using the tent fly to sleep in in that fashion when makani stole their tent was disgraceful. cody was chilling in his poncho tarp setup. The other 4 simply lay on the ground wrapped in the fly and were bound to get absolutely soaked. What a disgrace they all are.

the fun of the show is just how incredibly inept and deluded they are. it is frustrating to watch, but fun too at the same time somehow.

my take on the rules is that anything is up for grabs, but you're not allowed to get physical with each other. so makani was able to get in the tent, and they couldn't physically drag her out. that's what alex said. i'd guess they could have squeezed in with her.

so when mcody takes the pot, alex can't forcibly take it back. if they left it, then he could snatch it? idk, that's just my guess. i'd snatch that **** in the middle of the night if i had to.

mcody should wreck the other tent.

also when those guys were wanting to fight, they talked about getting kicked off the show if they fought. it would make sense you can't hit anyone or anything like that.

they were probably pretty vague about if the drone drops the burger and then everyone runs to try to snatch it. would be hilarious to see though. gina wouldn't be getting ****.

I honestly kind of like Gina. I mean she's utterly useless but she's easily the best of the campers. I think maybe because she understands and accepts (embraces?) her uselessness.

Camper awfulness power rankings, ep 8 spoilers:

Spoiler:
1) Alex. Jesus christ no redeeming characteristics here at all. Useless, dishonest, holier than though, and holy **** is he dumb. ALSO HE LITERALLY BURNED MONEY. ARE YOU KIDDING ME GUY?????
2) Eileen (not her name but something like that). Ugh. DONT TALK ABOUT MY FAMILY. stfu. Makani trolling her is one of the highlights of the show. Does, however, possess a redeeming characteristic. I thought she was making more of her illness to save face. But holy **** she had to have an appendectomy. That's legit yo.
3) Alonzo. Few redeeming characteristics and I could maybe swap him with Eileen. But he seems less slimy and oblivious than Alex, who is the worst. Very impressed he passed up his temptation. He is A BUSINESSMAN (is he????). Well I mean he didn't literally burn money for no reason so sure, I'll give that a pass. Gets super tilted because he actually understands the hypocrisy and awfulness of the campers and feels bad. But come on you went home because you had a widdle tummy ache? MAN UP BRO
4) Gina. Honestly I think she just glommed on to these guys and whatever, she's useless. She'll just go along with whatever. Dead stupid (she can legit barely read, it's hilarious) and utterly worthless at everything. But honestly I'm kind of impressed she's stuck around for so long, had her pegged at quitting like after the first day.

Anyone else legit fist pump when Makani got in the tent? THAT WAS AWESOME GUYS
