You will still need to form alliances, because a lot of important stuff like tents are too expensive for one person to buy alone. But there will be lots of backstabbing, because you still want people to drop out so that you can get more money.
That would eliminate 90% of this season's drama

Alex had some meat on his bones at the start.
I wonder if he packed on pounds intentionally

Maybe, but it would create different kinds of drama. An I think they have to change the rules somewhat if there is a season 2, because everyone will have watched season 1. Tyranny of the majority is a real problem, and it made the endgame really predictable and boring.

Giving everyone their own separate pile of money would still force people to have to work together, while at the same time benefiting those who remain after people drop out. Choosing whether or not to take a temptation becomes difficult if you're spending your own money.

I like the concept of each person having their own money. You can team up with others to by things and let others rent what you bought.

I think it makes for a more fair game.

I dont think any changes are going to drastically improve the product, other than just better casting.
This season wouldve tanked if it werent for Cody.

Yup. If not for Cody it's just a bunch of people trying to get along and make it to the end to get a portion of the million. Which is exactly what that "game expert" lady recommends they do. That would be boring as f*ck

Which is the reason the show might be scripted just a bit. With the way the show is setup you can't risk total dudness and if Cody doesn't exist that's a real possibility. If you pitch the show and run the show the first season is key. Create conversation, interest and go from there. Similar to 60 days in. I'm curious to see the second season and any adjustments. I like the concept but didn't totally enjoy it because it can be so much more.

Survivor has adapted a sh*t ton since s1. This can do the same.

I feel like S1 of Survivor was great though but it also may have been slightly ahead of its time

Dang it, discovered this thread after the show was over, thought I was the only one enjoying this, glad to see others were intrigued by it as well

I never understood this, imo they didn't make the conditions clear, did whomever didn't take the 150K have to go back by themselves for a 3rd of the 500K or 500K - 150K or what?? Like others have said, they should have flipped a coin

lol, reminds me of how sometimes it seems life is one big game of sim city (or a reality show) for another species.....women are from mars/men venus, lets have people from the middle east hate jews and then stash the worlds most valuable resource under their feet and watch how **** goes down, etc etc

In case anyone didn't notice at the end of the credits:

What a terrible last episode, trying to create suspension that obviously isn't there, I was so tired of hearing the same thing over and over.

Props to Gina for sticking it out tho, despite being annoying as hell.

That's my issue with the show. The worst part of every show is people crying and thinking about quitting. We get that on the reg on Stranded

There should be potential for hard exits instead of giving up.

Like you can't arrive 1 hour later than the first arrival at any of the trips.

The first time Cody took a **** in the water and told the camera "when they drink this water they will get e coli" and laughet etc, wouldnt this be a crime? Knowingly potentially harming other people. I mean in the interviews after the show it seems like for his second **** in the water he "had to" tell them about it. But the first one no warning and he was bragging that they would get really sick from that etc, sounds like a crime?

It was the word "variety" that Gina couldn't read. I actually thought it was cool that Cody didn't mock her at all over that and just said "we get it". He also seemed pretty helpful in many of the challenges. I think he played up his character for the cameras and was ruthless within the game, but seems like a decent dude beyond all that.

Show was entertaining enough, except the final episode, but I think the season would have been a massive bore had 1 of Eyelash or Alonzo hung on. There's lots of potential, but I wonder if it's basically essential to cast a bunch of idiots. Smart, strategic players would probably make for a boring season, unless maybe they were hellbent on getting everyone out of the game possible.

I think an interesting twist would be that in the end, it turns out that the money you spent/destroyed came out of your pocket. For example, I think they earn 940k or so. So each person starts with their share (235k) and then deduct from there. So the 65k destroyed comes out evenly between Alex/Gina, as well as their share of all the extra food and supplies they ate that the MaCody didn't. I think out of the 940k, they ended up distributing 400k, but it would have been great if like 320k of that went to MaCody and only 80k for GinAlex.

that was cool of him. i agree. but he couldn't read "hors d'oeuvres". so it makes sense that he would be understanding when someone else had trouble with a word.

and btw, when cody struggled with his reading, makani didn't blink. she was just like "whatever"

for all the grief millennials get over what wastes of life they are, i think they are more compassionate than previous generations. i mean there are still bullies obviously, but maybe the least bully generation the planet has ever had.

But none of them can deal with authority

Cody never put anything in the water, that's the thing. You never saw him take a ****, you never saw the ****. No way they'd let someone do that, I just don't buy it.

They actually misspelled it as "hor d'oeuvres" on the show.

They showed actual turds in the water at one point b/c I remember thinking it was pretty gross.

I had no idea what that word was. Looked it up, now know the meaning but not sure on the pronunciation as I don't speak french.
