I agree. Overall though, I think this was the strongest episode this season, particularly because they were able to have almost all the story lines make progress, without feeling too forced. The whole Tig scenario and the scene with the Sheriff and Arkin were great.

Re: Sons of Anarchy (spoilers)

Really liked this episode, except it seemed to jump around quite a bit. The Tig scene in the van had some great one liners while he provoked them. "..and your at least half a ***" made me laugh out loud.

End scene definatly set the stage that this thing between Clay and Jax is not being resolved nicely. Strong work, quickly becoming one of my favorites. Its a show where I don't want to wait till next week to find out what happens. I think we might see something interesting with the IRA bigwigs coming in and maybe playing a part in the war against the League.

The hospital threw Tig out after some minor first aid, wrong health plan. That's the state of health care in America.

Gemma and Tara look like mother and daughter. Am I the only one who thinks so?

Re: Sons of Anarchy (spoilers)

Keep in mind that Gemma may have been involved in the murder of the father or her own son. While I agree that it's a bit trite, it might fit better here than in other spots.

I thought this was a really solid ep. They're doing a great job of developing some of the smaller characters.

Re: Sons of Anarchy (spoilers)

one of my favorite shows right now, moved clearly ahead of Dexter after each shows finales last year.

i kinda wish they didnt have the trigg plotline this past week. i abhor retarded scenarios like "lets drive a truck through a hotel wall in broad daylight" and triggs psychoanalysis of the bounty hunters was bleh and unfunny.

i am quite happy at the sheriffs expanded role though.

Hmm not a huge fan of this episode. Felt like filler.

Re: Sons of Anarchy (spoilers)

I don't see how driving a truck through a hotel wall with Sons of Anarchy emblazoned on their backs doesn't meet with some law enforcment repercussions. Surely the bounty hunters can identify them. {eyeroll}

Anyway, the real reason for my post is... I frequently disobey traffic laws and play online poker, but for the most part, I am a law abiding citizen. I do not even own a gun. I do not get in many verbal arguements, let alone physical fights. I am generally a peacemaker and prefer it when people get along and tolerate each other. Yet, if some neo-nazis tied me to a fence and gang banged me, there would be some very dead skinheads with holes blown in their crotches. So, I'm having a hard time reconciling that with Gemma letting it slide. She is obv not averse to all sorts of breaking the law. Swift and violent retribution seems like a no brainer to me. Though I did not approve of her stalking HR in broad daylight. No sense in having to convince a jury of completely justifiable homicide.

Re: Sons of Anarchy (spoilers)

Is there any rationale for Jax playing the Opie situation the way he is? It seems smarter to me to pretend to not know what really happened, rather than constantly bucking Clay's authority and throwing that incident in his face.

Obv its just the precuser to a big blowup between Jax and Clay. Hopefully someone ends up dead and its entertaining.

Well yeah, but strategically it makes no sense. They've shown Jax wanting to keep it under wraps by keeping it from Opie, but if he really wanted to maximize his position he'd play dumb to Clay. My only guess is that they did it this way so they could have some easy drama filled scenes between the two, otherwise it makes no sense. Nothing serious at all, and could be explained away by the irrational emotion of a character, but It'd be more fun to play it low.

Re: Sons of Anarchy (spoilers)

I'm basically living for the moment this season when someone - Gemma, Clay, Jax, whoever - shoots all of those people dead. Zobelle, his daughter, Henry Rollins, all of them. That's gonna be a sweet episode.
