Mildly disappointing, but I'm intrigued enough to keep watching. Most of the Jax storyline is ridiculous and melodramatic, and he's the focus of the series it would seem, so that could potentially drag it down. The gang warfare stands to be pretty good, the more of that, the better. The biker Elvis thing was stupid.

It's trying to be the biker Sopranos, I'm glad that Drea De Matteo is gone so the comparisons are a little less obvious.

I was thinking of making this thread as well cuz ever since Ive seen the previewsIve been siked to see this. I didnt want to just post "hay guys what did you think of this show?" I think ur op> mine LOL. Overall I thought it was pretty good but I caught only the last half hour or so and I expect it to pick up since most of FX's stuff has been great. I also luv the fact that its based on the crime doers other then the police like every other crappy done to death drama series. Hopefully it turns out to be awesome though!!

Is there just not much interest from OOT in this show? I thought a lot of people would be into this show.

ill give it another 2-3 eps and see if there is an attraction. i am not holding out hope, but hey i didnt like dexter at first either.

IMO it's pretty standard. I've been wondering how the show would play since FX has really hit a few home runs lately but so far I'm not really that impressed. Seems like your standard good guy in a bad world caught between wanting to help innocents and end the baddness versus the ties that bind him to his current life. Like I said, pretty standard.

Oh, and how much does anyone want to bet that his dad didn't die accidentally falling in front of a truck? I'd bet his mother and her husband/leader of gang conspired to kill him after he started to make some noise about leaving the gang/going straight. I still have hopes though and will continue to watch. More focus on Jackson's life, less focus on random other bad characters. I'd really like to see a show that happens with blinders on -- you don't see what's happening to others (ie Mom's life). Whatever, we'll see.

This show so far has met my expectations. I will keep watching. Not saying that the thing is fantastic as any drama about an outlaw motorcycle gang would have to be horrible for me to not watch.

So far I like Jax's mom the best.

In real life related news, the leader of the San Francisco Hell's Angels was shot and killed last week. The rumor is that a rival biker gang was involved. Rival biker gang usually means the Mongols but lately it appears tensions have been brewing with the born again christian outlaw biker gang Set Free. Linky Biker wars in SF are expected.

I feel like we've seen this show/movie so many times in so many different contexts. Every character is just a cliche save the Elvis guy. That said, I'll check for the next ep.

Solid 2nd episode. will keep watching.

I find Mom highly irritating. I think the show has potential though. I'm certainly not done with it yet. Oh and Dutch showing up in one of the previews looking like a badass instead of a socially inept nerd is cool.

And I could use a lot more of the doctor.

I only caught bits and peices of last nights ep but watching the prospect mess up the other dude in the boxing match was pretty entertaining.

what's the review on this show? My roommates watch it all the time and I have yet to pay attention. Is it worth catching up and getting into the show?

I've watched most of it (missed an episode and a half I think). I like it a lot.
