telling somebody they will be the next one gone is a recipe for disaster. they can tank the next challenge out of spite and ensure you lose.

they were going to get kicked out anyway, might as well hand a win to the other team in the process.

Next week's game looks fun. These mental/memory games aren't presented in a fun to watch sort of way. The dexterity and physical games are much more viewer friendly.

This format has a lot of issues and they really just need to make a new season of The Genius instead.

The only reason this season is even semi-interesting is because a lot of people are playing suboptimally.

Yeah, for starters, the show would be infinitely better if they held death matches instead of just sending people out.

i think its crazy how after 2 episodes it seemed like team red was dominant and green was hopeless.

amazing that Macho made it this far. I was legit concerned that they were going to get rid of Asol and keep him for final 3.

if kyungrul weren't so needy and desperate, he would have been insta keep for final 3. but every episode he's just begging and trying to suck up and just being needy and insecure. could make a strong case that he's this season's mvp, but decent chance he's out just because people don't like him.

(i actually think injik plans on keeping him, and just doesnt want to start drama with haesung, so the indecisiveness is just an act to try and keep the peace for their last few hours, and maybe to a lesser degree to make sure tables don't accidentally somehow get turned with himself on the outside.)

last couple of episodes are like 5 minutes of buffering to load 1 minute of video. gonna take awhile to get through this new episode.

I think DailyMotion was taking down the vids or something due to copyright.

Browser extensions exist that allow you to download embedded .mp4 files. You could then watch it offline.

Finale was pretty good. Wish Sanggook had stayed the whole game, was such a character even in the final episode.

Finale games were cool. Bummed by the finale result though.

the resident swaps made the finale confusing (for the eliminated players, not the viewers). People came back, why this this person over here, since the trade happened after they were eliminated. And where should people stand, with new team or there with old team, etc. I wonder if the producers thought about this at all when they came up with the mechanic?

Finally got caught up on this. Random thoughts:

Overall not as good as The Genius, but that's an unreasonably high bar. Format needs some tweaks (assuming they're planning to do it again), but nonetheless I found it pretty entertaining.

A little frustrating that they had word puzzles that you couldn't play along with, but they probably aren't that interested in catering to their non-Korean audience. The other puzzles were decent though, and I liked the English twist they put on the stacking one in the final episode.

MJ is a reality TV superstar even if she couldn't take it down at the end.

So I guess this proves once and for all that dictatorships are best?

Season 2 cast is out, including Dongmin, Junseok and MJ.
