Hexadecimal is base 16, so after 9 is A-F

So he's saying 9*F is F5 which he calls fleventy five. I don't know if "fleventy" is actually used when referring to F0s but it sounds like the math is incorrect regardless

I still have no idea wtf it means, I don't understand almost anything on the show but I found the show funny. I thought that joke was funny, just because fleventy five sounded funny.

edit - I do think the main guy would have an idea of how great his creation was.

Just watched this, I wasn't sure about it like 10 minutes in but by the end I was all-in. Not into the tech/startup world at all but still felt like I had a good grasp on everything.

I like all the details that Mike Judge puts into his satires - and this series looks like it will continue that trend:

- The Hooli head wearing those toe shoes.
- The incubator lead's ridiculous beard style.
- The idiotic surfboard tables at the coffee bar
- The awesome signage everywhere "No Fear No Failure" and "It takes change to make change"

Idiocracy was GOAT at this stuff too. Here's a graphic designer talking about some of the genius stuff from Idiocracy:

Didn't like this ep nearly as much as the first one. Probably will stop watching it if the next ep isn't better. Thought the show would be more fun. Don't need to watch a tv version of the social network.

Yeah, those strippers didn't even look like real strippers. They looked more like actresses pretending to be strippers. Lame. Totally unrealistic.

End was good, the rest showed nicely how out of depth they were for moving the startup concept to market but didnt deliver any lols.

meh there was some funny stuff. the two roommates ****ting all over "bighead" was funny imo. i thought the resolution with him taking the job was pretty sad actually. i mean i dont think its absurd at all for him to take the job, but he seemed so indifferent about how it would affect Richard (especially after the speech he just made). pretty brutal for a "best friend".

good ep though for the reasons you said, it really sets the show up nicely and how it has staying power. it's just a world with so much depth, so many different angles they can cover. that+a cast that seems to have nice chemistry+mike judge means this show should be just fine.

This show is gonna get criticized a ton I can already tell. Probably get sneered at on a level like Entourage but it keeps me entertained for 30 mins so I'm fine with it.

Needs to get a little more comedic in future eps but I'll keep watching

I don't feel like this show is anything like Entourage. That show was all about how awesome Hollywood was and let's watch Vince and his boys party and Ari yell at everyone, **** yeah! This is obviously not showing Silicon Valley in anything close to a similar light, it's a parody of that scene, not an earnest paean to it like Entourage mostly was.

I have to agree that this show is a missed opportunity. Instead of an acid satire of Silicon Valley it's more of milquetoast comedy. That's fine with me. It's still generally funny and I'm entertained.

you guys criticizing this episode are nuts. this episode was great! i laughed way more than the first episode. and the characters and actors are all really good. this is television near the top of it's game.
