Wow, Shane is obv admitting his guilt by keeping his mouth shut during the Tayvon confrontation. Why would Shane not speak in his wife's defense?

Has any Shield fans been watching Son's of Anarchy? Just wondering how the fans of the anti-hero(es) in the shield are liking/disliking them in SoA.

I like the show overall, I like the cast, it's basically the same recipe as The Shield.

I'm so happy with the Tavon resolution. I liked his character, and truely began my hatred of Shane with the way he dealt with Tavon, and reminded me of why I hate Maura. I hope they both get got.

SoA is decent enough, but the characters just aren't as interesting as other, better written shows like Sopranos or Shield. This largely is due to the main character being both uninteresting, and not very strong of an actor. The side characters have no depth, even after 5 episodes, whereas a show like The Sopranos hooked you right off the bat and had an assorted crew of characters in the truest sense of the word.

Still watching it though, as there is potential.

I didn't like where it was going in the pilot actually but it's turned out to be very solid and I'm liking it more and more. I'm not real sure why you feel it's the same recipe as The Shield though -- beyond them both being pretty good shows (with The Shield having much more time to make its way into my heart), I don't see how they're related. Except maybe that they're both character driven dramas about life?

Its a pretty consistent aspect of Shane as a character. He pussies out when he knows the other person knows he's done something wrong.

New episode was good... holy **** I wish I had all the last episodes to watch right now. This ending is gonna be insane. I'm not sure how it's going to avoid ending in mass bloodshed now. There are just too many holes that have been dug... nobody is getting out of this unscathed (except Dani who is possibly skipping town). There is not much to say anymore except to tell you all to enjoy these last few weeks, cause I have a feeling we are in for something truly special.

And again... if you've never watched the show... get season 1 and become an addict like the rest of us Shield fans. It's never too late!!!

Most TV shows I watch seem to be pretty disappointing recently, but the last two episodes of this show have been ****ing great. The whole Shane going after Ronnie plot will be interesting. I kind of hope Ronnie doesn't die, but this show has been so good even if he did I'd probably be blown away by how they wrote it.

Wow- that was a great episode last night.

Vic's handling of the whole thing with Danni really shows his true colors I think. For a guy who has certainly done some good, but has really done some awful things, something like this provides an excellent insight into his true character.

Dutch boy- awesome all season. I thought his handling of Claudette's stuff was just awesome.

I think Ronnie is good as gone, but it wouldn't shock me if the guy got Julian instead in a sort of classic Shield "tragic hero" moment.

One minor Nit- no chance anyone in real life chooses to work 10 days over a partial pension, but thats Vic I guess.

I love that they bring back all these random people from earlier in the series. The hooker last night owning Vic AGAIN was not surprising, but still fun to see.

I have a problem with this too, but it's not him working, it's them letting him work. Letting Vic as a lame duck, nothing could be worse, he has always played it as if he has very little to lose, now he has NOTHIGN to lose, I can't see this actually happening.

The working 10 days v. pension I can see because 10 days gives vic enough time to extort more money then the partial pension would probably be worth.

Hey Blinden,

Dumb question, but jog my memory... do we assume the ex cop turned private security is partners with Carl Weathers' character?

My memory fails me here, but that's what I was thinking when I was watching it, but I couldn't remember specifically. I don't have a good brain for TV, I can never remember what's going on week to week, let alone in previous seasons. Maybe I need to cut out some shows, between Lost, Shield, Heroes, Terminator, Sons of Anarchy, it's getting hard for me to keep my ducks in a row. Fortunately, I think I'll be able to cut heroes soon, it's been pretty bad.

I should just start watching non-linear shows, but I cannot get into those crime scene shows for some reason.

I never watch previews (read: show ruiners) for any show ever. I would rather not know and get to watch the entire show as new.

My DVR blows when it comes to this. Even if I try and record the show after to catch the previews, it still picks up just the new show and not the gap between the two (previews).

I always watch previews for shows and everytime I think something big has been spoiled on shows like this(Sopranos, Deadwood, etc), it ALWAYS turns out weve been misled. They can splice together scenes in the previews that are in no way actually related in the real episode. I wouldnt be too worried. They dont want to spoil the show for you anymore than we want it spoiled. They just want to make the previews as exciting as possible regardless of how many liberties they have to take in doing so.
