Shameless Season 7 Shameless Season 7

Add in the fact that Showtime tends to run all its shows 2-3 seasons longer than they should. This season has been a step up from last, although not sure why they needed Helene to show up again.

Can't see it ending in 2 eps, there is too much to tie up.

The thruple with Kev, V and Lana.
Carl still in military school
Fiona and the laundromat
Frank and Monica being bandits
Ian with Mickey on the run
Lip and everything he's got going on with his diner wench, the professor, Helene, the booze, etc...

Pretty easy to resolve all of that. Lana leaves with their money. Carl had his finale. Fiona sold the laundromat. Monica dies. Ian and Mickey run off together. Lip is the difficult one.

There are rumors that Cameron Monaghan is leaving the show.

What is Carl's "finale"?

I expect to Mickey to get caught / shot, possibly Ian too.

That he left for military school. I felt like that was the last time we would see him. I could see Ian/Mickey getting shot as well. There have been rumors of Ian being killed off for a few season now since Monaghan keeps getting better roles outside of Shameless.

It seems like the show is in limbo and they have it written where they could go another season or tie it all up. Ratings fell off a cliff last year and started down again this season but it has made a nice comeback from 1.1 million viewers in Episode 2 to a season high 1.55 for the last episode in November.

What better roles is Monaghan getting? I mean, I definitely think he's capable of them, but nothing else he's done to date is as high profile as Shameless, and none of his upcoming movies look particularly spectacular afaict.

Dude just wrapped up what appears to be a 3rd rate spinoff of the Amityville Horror franchise.

He's in Gotham, that's decent right?

Also saw he was 'Chad' in MITM:

I don't watch Gotham, but I guess he is the Joker on there and that it is a pretty big role.

I stopped watching Gotham because it got really dumb, but he was only in a few episodes before he
Spoiler:
was killed off, and he wasn't the real Joker.
If he's back on the show they've made some major plot changes since I tuned out.

Read an article Emmy Rossum trying get paid = to William H. Macy.

I hope and think they renew it unless they have some new stuff in the works.

Yeah that seems to be the issue with announcing S8. I'd say she deserves it at this point, but then I'm sure the rest of the cast will insist on raises as well, which may or may not be affordable or result in writing a few characters off. In which case, I'd volunteer Debbie.

Showtime have got to remember he's not being held back anymore, she's going to make something of herself, she's an owner.

Do they really think the recap of last weeks episode is really for people that missed it?

just started watching this after thanksgiving, just caught up.

Loved (most of) this show.

non hoodrat Carl was a GOAT
I'm probably the only one turned off by Frank's absurdness...other than the "new family", that was elite.
Debbie is slowly getting better.
Fiona's character seems strikingly similar to the mom in weeds.
Still don't get Liam's purpose. particularly how the **** is he black? I never understood this-did Lip and Ian forge the results?? I feel like I missed something.
Hopefully I didn't catch up to this to only be able to watch one episode before it goes off the air.

Bits: narratives with punchlines

Bits are collections of related jokes strung together in the form of a story or rant. They adhere to the basic physics of joke structure — setup, punchline, tag — but each punchline is embedded in a larger narrative, and wouldn’t make sense in isolation. David Letterman’s top ten list is a bit that contains ten different jokes.
This is a good definition of a bit

I'm a little pissed that she put the future of the show in jeopardy because she demanded more money. She's good, but she ain't no William H Macy.

Happy it's been renewed though because based on this season it's still got some legs.

Earlier this week it was reported that Rossum had been seeking salary parity with co-star William H. Macy. Rossum’s camp reportedly argued that the actress should be paid more than Macy to make up for the seven seasons in which she earned considerably less than the veteran actor.
Her and Macy are carrying Shameless. They are the 2 main characters, the only ones you simply can't cut from this show, how is it fair she has earned "considerably less" than him over 7 seasons ? I understand he's a veteran and she's not, so its fine she made much less at start, but now ?

Salary equality heading to season 8 seems very fair to me. Especially due to Rossum making "considerably less" before.

Normally I laugh at pay comparison arguments, but Rossum deserves equal money. Hell, it's her show! I'm glad she stuck up for herself, and I'm glad she got it.

Felt like they wrote the finale to where it could have gone either way. Glad it's coming back. This was a big step up from last season.
