Karma really kicked old Trey in the nuts, that's for sure! And having the teenaged Nelms daughter pop in asking about the press conference was a nice touch.

Comment from after the first episode, liked that it wasn't a happy ending all tied up in a bow, but at least they all have hope. Episode was absolutely perfect for me.

Also, seeing Kerwin again made me watch this again. Going to miss this show.

hearing Daniel describe being raped in the shower is one of the most disturbing things I've ever experienced.

what a treat! as soon as daniel described kerwin being taken away the episode turned great.

"i know you"

tears were streaming down my cheeks while i was watching.

and then we got to see kerwin. i been waiting 3 years to see another kerwin scene! those are the best parts of the show. the guy is such a good actor, and their relationship is so moving.

and i loved the phone call at the end too

Loved it. What a show. Perfect ending to a perfect show. Breaks my heart that it doesn't get the appreciation it deserves.

So many great touches in this show.

Teddy telling his father about not wanting to open another shop, later the divorce and being desperate for some comfort but Big Ted just walks away. Then the look on Teddy's face when Big Ted spontaneously hugs Tawny at the store closing. Such good writing to turn a complete douchebag like Teddy into a character if not sympathetic, at least understandable.

Trey probably the actual murderer trying to pin it on another scapegoat but the sheriff having none of it.

Daniel and the halfway house. As much as some of the rest of the denouement dragged (Tawny especially but also Janet and Big Ted) every scene with those guys felt so perfect.

Abigail Spencer. Goddamn, Abigail Spencer....

That wasn't my take. I believed him in that he's a guy who probably never really did anything wrong. He had sex with Hannah on the reg, and she didn't resist him that night. He didn't kill her. He refused to testify that Daniel did, even when led by the DA to do so. He didn't kill George. But he was so slimy, evasive and scheming in trying to protect himself that he's made it seem like he's guilty.

Yeah, I'd probably bet that Trey ended up at some semblance of truth despite himself, that Nelms murdered her. If I had to guess.

So you have it on DVR or is there somewhere to watch it?
I had binged in Netflix just has the last season had wrapped and only got through a few episodes on the AMC app

I didn't realize until I rewatched Deadwood to show my girlfriend last year that the actor playing Trey was Al's boy Johnny. Had been a while since I watched Deadwood while it aired. A lot of connections between the shows of course because of the creator being on Deadwood. Was fun to watch again after seeing Rectify.

if you're going to be connected to a show, deadwood is a good one to be connected to

Found this show a few weeks ago and just binge it with my wife. I've never been as moved emotionally by a TV show as I was by this show.

Pretty much perfect. Sad it got so little recognition.

Im definitely a fan of "slow dramas" but this show is probably in my top 5 all time. Like you said, basically a perfect show
