Didn't mind the ending. Ray Donovan did not meet my expectations, but I'll tune in next season. Hopefully next season the showrunners can make some corrections and make better use of the cast. Shotime please turn this into Michael Clayton the TV show.

this show jumped the shark when they decided to give ray kids.
imagine how much better this would be if along with all his other hijinks he just banged a diff hottie every episode.
his family is pure aids.

Yep. I watched every episode and am leaning towards not watching next season primarily because of Ray's wife and kids. The acting with Ray's daughter and the girl who he works with was like, offensively bad. A gif of his daughter starting to cry would be great.

If for no other reason,I appreciate this show because Jon Voight is the absolute nuts in acting

I mean the show is a bunch of cliches craftily put together. With a strong cast at that. I for one enjoy it and looking forward to next season.

Yeah, I have no idea why anyone thinks it's a good idea to include the kids in these shows in any more than a trivial manor. Homeland has the same problem (Or Californication for that matter) and is baffling - It's as if the writers realized in season 2 that the daughter's subplots were going nowhere so they just killed everyone off. But they didn't learn their lesson and now she has another major subplot.

Is there any "adult drama" ever that's better for these subplots? Even in a GOATish show like Sporanos, AJ and Meadow are two of the weaker links (and fortunately far less significant roles).

The Wire is the exception that proves the rule but hardly typical.

Really? I guess he was kinda rocking the **** in that role. Could've gone to almost anyone nominated, I think.

Just finished season 1, I like it! This will be cool for season 2:

I really hope Voight wins the emmy for best supporting. It's really the best I've seen this year in that role.

Yea I have the same feeling. I think it has to be at least decent since I'm still watching and there are plenty of shows I just give up on after a couple episodes.

I felt like s2e1 was more artsy than season 1? The music collage, dolphin, visuals and scenery , etc

So he just walked into the soon to be head of the FBI and admitted....yeah, we killed him, but my father pulled the trigger?

Where does that leave the other FBI guy? Now that they know he's crooked, shouldn't he be arrested or something? Just tells him to get leave the office.

And what did he say to the guy when he called him and woke him up before he went back in with the bat.

I don't know how bringing his father in saves his ass.

I blew through season 1 Friday and Saturday to make sure I could watch the S2 premiere Sunday night... I'm with razztapes... I still don't know if I like the show either. For as good as Voight was in season one. I think the show would be better off sending him to prison or killing him off. Ray Donovan's character on its own with the work that he does can create so many other storylines that I dont think I'll hang around to much longer if its just going to be drama between Ray, Voight and the rest of his family. Do you guys see this happening or do you think Voight will make it through this season plus possibly following seasons if it gets renewed?

Sidenote... The El Negro autograph poster scene at the mexican beach bar cracked me up.
