Because the story of how he wasn't the terrorist and the guy he almost killed also obviously wasn't the terrorist is super important to nothing.
The first scene in that room should have been her taking down half the pics. Its not Mormon guy, or second gen future failure guy, it's not the hijab twins cos that's obviously the misdirect and when we get more stories next ep we should know at least two more to add on that list.
The show doesn't even get the basics of format correct, if they are doing a narrow narrative where we learn along via the eyes of the main chick then we shouldn't know stuff like the hijab twins or the fake boyfriend picture the gay guy took. Blacklist wasn't perfect but it nailed this formula perfectly. This show wants to have it both ways and to me that's not compelling viewing.
The more you analyse the show the more you see the writing is absolute garbage. Its just shoddily thrown together.
