You need a massive pair to film nature. I would not spend several days in a grass box where dangerous wildlife roam so that I could film some wildlife with very sharp teeth.

Loved the aerial view of the Arctic wolf chasing the caribou.

Cities was the one I was least looking forward to but it was fantastic. I was heartbroken by the baby turtles though

Amazing series from start to finish.

The leopard taking the baby wild pig and jumping on top of the wall with it to avoid angry big pigs and eat was amazing.

just saw episode 2 Mountains.

"the mother snow leopard is injured, will they be ok? We never saw them again..."

...shot of snow leopards entering cave.

...shot of mountain top

...are they gonna show the credits?

"...until a month later when we did see them both again and they were both fine"

wtf planet earth, you are better than this. completely unnecessary drama/cliffhanger. Just show the nature. Tell a little story if you must. There's no need to turn this into a soap opera. Does one of the snow leopards have amnesia now? That would certainly spice up the narrative.

ehh, there's definitely a lot of over the top stuff in these shows, but that doesn't seem like the best example. wasn't it like a 5 second 'cliffhanger'?

YES, that's the noteworthy awful part. there's absolutely no point to a 5 second cliffhanger.

"we never saw them again"
"just kidding we did see them again"

just say she's in danger and the next few weeks will be risky for her...but fortunately we saw her a month later and she was fine. there's no advantage i can see for doing the fakeout.

Jungle - Bird of Paradise delivers again. Wasn't quite as shocking as the reveal from planet earth 1, but still pretty damn cool. All the buildup about cleaning the ground and plucking all the leaves was charming.

Not sure if it has surpassed the baby mountain goat things climbing up the side of the mountain face. That's probably still my favorite so far.

Great news. Blue Planet is my favorite BBC nature doc but I was always sad it wasn't in HD. Going to be great to see an HD version covering the same subject.
