I can't remember any other instances, but I'm pretty sure his storyline is about to start converging with our heroes again pretty soon. This convergence would most likely be due to him trying to do something (the hit) to someone Reese appears to care about (Carter). I can't wait for it to come back next week.

Great episode. Other than a tiny appearance in the episode where Carter gets ambushed, does he appear on screen again? we've only seen 6 or so eps, including the las 2 before Christmas.

Really starting to like this show. Lol on the comments here on his whispering
This is where I remember him from, guess that skews us to the older crowd.

I enjoyed tonight's episode. Getting more back story on on the machine and Finch was good.

If the CIA hangs around too long though it may get a bit stale. Carter hunting him for weeks was part of the story the CIA "hunting" poorly for Reese is on the verge of being silly. Not sure if I'm okay with Carter joining the cause either.

Another show my wife has abandoned. Along with the likes of White Collar, Suits, Alphas and Warehouse 13. Not sure why but just can't seem to stay awake for these shows and is constantly opening her eyes after dozing off on the coach saying "what did I miss....?"

I did not like this ep... very anticlimactic and poorly done compared to the last one.

The police lady evades the CIA by changing jackets? THey just walk behind her? Lol ok.

Finch getting caught by Trask. Lol ok. No mention of him as he saved her by poking dude in the eyes (which was legit awesome). Lol ok.

At least they advanced background story... ZOMG FINCHS PARTNER IS AGAINST HIM.

Yeah agreed. That ending was awesome.

Was expecting Finch to bust out an "ASL?", though.

The key to enjoying this show is suspension of disbelief. Once you have successfully done that, it is amazing. It is filled with awesome every week, and is my favorite new show I've seen this year.

I think it's a little harder to get there with Revenge, but I totally agree.

I meant suspension of disbelief, I think poi is a much better show.

I think POI is the second most realistic Bad Robot show ive seen behind Undercovers. You dont really need to suspect much belief imo.

A machine that is only covering one city, one person to handle the machine, cameras only in one city, one guy to handle all of the numbers, and the numbers should be non-stop (how does it ultimately give just one?).

I agree you don't have to go far with suspension of disbelief, but when you really start inspecting the basic of idea of the show it's pretty funny how narrow the scope is. If you start looking at it technologically, it becomes almost like a horror movie, with how easy it is for people to take over and spy on your life (all the forced pairings, etc.). Hawaii Five-O is a really horrific show, as well, because they make Honolulu seem like the scariest city on earth. However, as long as you're in NYC, Finch, Reese, and maybe Carter will save you, or stop you...lol.

The machine never even crosses my mind when it comes to suspension of disbelief. It's kind of like the dream machine in Inception. I don't need to know how it works, only that it does. That's good enough for me. I don't need schematics.

Where you need to suspend disbelief in POI are scenes like the assassination last week. Obviously there would be a ridiculous amount of security in place yet Caviezel in running through the kitchen and catwalks like he owns the place. He's supposed to be incognito yet immediately after the shooting he runs full speed out the front door and stands in the street while police surround the building. Security doesn't taze his ass nor do the police even blink (Twist: Caviezel is a ghost).

Fine, I like the show so I roll with it but it would be nice to see a little more effort in such scenes. There was some goofiness at the beginning as well when Caviezel was fighting and talking to Finch at the same time.

It's not hard for me to suspend my disbelief, at all. It was much harder for me to suspend my disbelief for Homeland, by about 200 miles, because the whole premise of Homeland was so ridiculous.

In the case of stuff like the fight you were mentioning, that's part of the overwhelming charm of the show. This show is a serious show, but it's clear it does not at all take itself seriously. The implied humor is one of the best aspects of it, in my opinion. I laughed very hard when he threw the guy into the hand dryer (in the bathroom fight scene), and it turned on. I mean, that's classic stuff, and totally choreographed.

Im pretty much convinced the machine could work exactly as described, its just all about the raw processing power to sift through the masses of data to untangle patterns.

I wasn't clear on the last point about the fight. My biggest gripe was the assassination scene... the fight was just an afterthought. The fight itself was fine. There was just some weirdness with the audio and the sound of Reese's voice. He sounded calm and composed in the audio from Finch's end but winded and obviously in a fight when we heard the conversation from his perspective in the house. It created a weird effect as the conversation went back and forth.

Fight cliches are fine. I always appreciate the choke out where the victim remains unconscious for as long as convenient. It's often hours before they wake up.

Anyhow, not that important. It's the assassination stuff where I sometimes find myself rolling my eyes.

Maybe it's already here. Maybe there is going to be a car in your driveway in the next hour and a couple of men in black suits are going to exit and discuss this with you in greater detail. You might want to pack a bag while you wait.

I agree with having to suspend disbelief in lots of scenes each week. For me, one of the worst offenders this season was the episode with the old German hitman (played by the guy who played Widmore on Lost, Alan Dale?). Widmore finds out (and Reese at the same time) that his wife is actually alive and living in NYC. In order for Reese and Finch to find her (where previously Finch can find anything with his hacking skills in <20 seconds), Reese has to intercept the attache guy heading to the airport to leave the country, takes out his SUV with a bazooka (!!!), and gets her address from him. When Reese shows up to her place, Widmore is strolling up to the brownstone like he's been there a dozen times, when half an hour ago he had no idea she was even alive.

Stuff like this (and yeah, the assassination scene last week) makes me roll my eyes. Big stuff like the computer itself is totally believable. Usually the show is good enough for me to overlook most of these lame inconsistencies. Some episodes are a lot better than others.
