I think that if this show can figure out some sort of long term arc that adds some mystery it can be a very very good show

i'm just not sure how long this show can stay interesting simply having bad guys of the week

i like the direction they headed this week with finch flashbacks though

Episode 2 was a very good episode, but if it is just a SSN of the week than it can become boring. Definantly will see where this show goes.

I liked how Reese shot the bad guys legs since he knew the man was wearing a vest, I liked how it wasn't told to us and left it up to the viewer to figure it out; makes the little payoff better.

We are already in the early stages where season one's major arc is based around the two main characters and their history. Its not episodic in the same way as shows like NCIS where if ive not seen an episode in a couple years I could pick one up at random and have zero problem getting into it. While the case of the week stuff is half the show, the other half is very much serialised.

Is it just me or does it seem like Reese actually is a really solid actor?

And like Phil said, the arc right now is with and between Reese and Finch, probably gonna be alot of flashbacks, Reese trying to figure out Finch etc.

Some of the scenes are kind of ridiculous, but it's a fun show and the leading characters are perfectly cast.

I almost feel like Michael Emerson's talents are wasted in a weekly procedural. Still wanna know why the hell he limps though. The other guy doesn't even seem to be curious why he's walking around like he has a stick up his ass all the time.

Haven't decided whether I'm going to finish watching this week's episode or not. I turned it off right after the 2 bankers picked a fight with the 2 soldiers in the bar. I mean c'mon! Really? That was just laughably terrible.

Is it worth finishing?

Almost kinda hoping this show gets cancelled quick so Ben Linus....I mean Michael Emerson can get something better.

Off all the stuff you could nitpick on you choose this? I mean I like this show a lot but alot of the stuff is pretty over the top etc. But this stuff you nitpicking on is smth that could deffo happen, rich banker with big ego likes to run his mouth, never seen a smart guy acting like a tough guy before?

its the rank over analyzation in this forum that makes many of the boards unreadable, except for lol's lately. To participate in the discussion about what or how the storyline and characters have gone is supposed to be what people should do. Instead some feel the need to rewrite the given plot to another separate angle, to insert what they want to see instead of what is given. /rant

I think they've created an interesting dynamic between the 2 mains, and have continued to layer something, just not sure what yet, between the time swings.

I think the writers are aware of this and have written the character to be similar to ben linus in many ways so that the show works to an extent

still watching and still enjoying. they do a good job of developing the 1 episode character arcs and the female cop does a nice job keeping some continuity from week to week as we slowly watch the flashbacks unfold.
