Thanks. When I started reading this thread for the episode, I saw a mention of Martin Starr, and looked him up on IMDB and saw it was the same guy. I am really bad at knowing the names of actors. I just don't watch that much TV and movies.

The parts I laughed at in this episode were:
-Little Indian bit
-Leslie Single Ladies Wedding story
-Juggling Guy

Mo money, mo Kevlar vests that save lives. Love the police chief

Ann and Tom shaping up to be the WOAT P&R storyline

Tom was particularly annoying in this episode.

I laughed a ton but there was a lot of stuff that seemed off, including Louis ck's character. I'm unconvinced he'd act like that, despite finding the whole thing hilarious(I could either be completely wrong or it's just because the three of them are so awesome).

Bad ep. Just pissed that the show is this unaware of how toxic Tom is. Just want to go flame people on twitter

Yeah. His character was raped. I have no idea how a show this good made an ep this bad. Even the Duke Silver stuff could have been so much better.

I nearly peed myself during every scene Ron was involved in. The rest I could take it or leave it.

Pretty sure every episode just needs a storyline of Ron doing something dorky in his personal life that he doesn't want everybody to know about and I would love it.

Yeah, whoever wrote this episode should never write another one. There were two good parts off the top of my head: the police chief's sarcastic mo money, mo kevlar vests quip at the beginning, and all the cops yelling 'he's got a gun' and scaring the crap out of Ben when he reached into his shirt for the piece of paper. Every actual character on the show just was a caricature of themselves, and I still can't believe how they're resolving the Ann/Tom thing. I mean, Ann actually saying 'you wore me down', and then Tom actually repeating it? Just gag me already, even Tom Haverford isn't that pathetic

I didn't think it was nearly as bad as you guys did. But having said that, I am glad I'm not the only one who noticed Dave's character was, as Grue perfectly put it, Flanderized. And I hated it when Parks did its last "Tom is a big huge selfish baby but since we have Aziz Ansari under contract he's really lovable after all and everything works out for him" plot. I didn't hate this one as much, but I didn't like that, again, being a giant tool gets him what he wants. The sad thing is, he could be a character you could have funny plots with if he wasn't such a jackoff personally.

But man, I loved watching Dave and Ben awkwardly talk at one another. I could watch a whole episode of that.

Dave definitely was kookier than normal but not to the extent that it killed my suspension of disbelief or anything. If anything I felt like it was sort of helpful in that sense since Louis C.K. has been in the news so often to emphasize the character's bashfulness distinguishing him from his standup/being in Louie. Plus I'm assuming they dialed back some of the more straight-man aspects of his character since it might be too similar to the chief's gruff responses to Ben's awkwardness.

I do agree though that this episode felt a lot more like someone with a cursory knowledge of the show wikipedia-ed a couple aspects of the show's universe before writing the script. I appreciate the writers not making Tom/Ann a repeat of him acting like himself with that Latino chick whose name I forgot, but they really didn't have to make him such a pathetic douche either, and Ann just saying 'You wore me down' was a pretty sloppy way to conclude that subplot.

Overall I'd prob give it the episode a B-, I likely won't ever rewatch anything more than snippets of it again but I didn't regret devoting half an hour to it and it's still better than 99% of tv out there.

Really the only stuff I didn't like were the Tom-Ann scenes. Liked everything involving Ben, Ron, April and Andy.

Below average episode. Didnt really like the Tom/Ann stuff, and the way they "solved" the story was dumb. "You wore me down" ? Really ? It seems so cheap.

The rest I liked. Ben being scared of cops made me laugh a lot, and the Dave/Ben awkward situations were great.

Still the casual bashing of Jerry that I enjoy too (especially the last one with the timbanis (??? not sure that's the right name).

I feel they should've spent more time on Silver Duke than on Ann/Tom story in this episode. Much more potential.

The Tom/Ann storyline sucked, but enjoyed the rest. I also don't buy that someone as eligible as Ann would have this much trouble finding a normal sized, non-annoying guy that she can get 'worn down' in an hour by Tom.

Worst episode of the season IMO.
Tom/Ann & Leslie/Ben/Dave storylines were just outright horrible. Only Ron delivered as always.

Andy and Ron killed it. Felt a bit like a filler ep, always going to be the odd one in 22. The plots for the rest of the season look more structured.

It feels weird that Tom has a wtf reaction to Andy's lines at times yet acts like a much bigger idiot himself regularly.

If they start taking this Tom/Ann relationship serious and we get three in office relationships it'd be a big mistake. I'm pretty sure they'll joke around with it for a while though and end it amicably.
