Thought tonight's episode was ok but not spectacular. Obviously was mostly a setup episode. Paul Rudd's character needs to be toned down a little bit, but he definitely has promise.

Yeah, this was just an average episode at best. Nothing really memorable. They need to find something new for Andy to do, he can only run into so many things

Yeah Andy/April and Tom both seem to be kind of hitting a rut as of late.

I think the Andy/April go to doctors plot was a pretty good idea---maybe could've been executed better.

Didn't really buy Leslie's whole moral issue with a negative ad---she's all about doing everything she can to get her way---didn't seem consistent with her character.

I never get tired of the Jerry ribbing, as redundant as it is.
-"you can take Jerry"
-"what?"
-"well you wanted to go negative, you've got the biggest negative in the world"

and Ben's facial reaction of hearing the devastating news of having to work with Jerrys is amazing.

Also with the whole Bobby Newport weird voice thing "now we're just wasting time Jerry".

A+ stuff

This made me laugh so hard.

Average episode besides the April/Andy stuff. Loved all of it, but I'm a sucker for people running into things.

Overall I'd say B+ episode for me

I think they were fine going either way with Leslie's thoughts on a negative ad.

That whole voice bit wasn't really working for me but turning it around on Jerry was awesome.

Meh, first episode in quite a while I didn't really enjoy. Outside of the Jerry stuff and Ron telling the dude his project was cancelled nothing really worked for me. April/Andy stuff was overly the top stupid bad even for April/Andy and I didn't enjoy it at all really.

This wasn't bad at all- but it felt like it left a lot on the table.

Paul Rudd is amazing, I love Paul Rudd, and while he was fine- I think they're really not taking great advantage of him by making him a manchild. He needs more of an edge that they're giving him here.

I don't see Ron as a guy who is needlessly cruel. He's blunt, he's firm in his beliefs, he might be overjoyed to cut somebody's program, but I though the more meanspirited and personal parts of what he did there were a pretty gross misread on the character, and atypical of the heart that I love so much about this show.

Kinda felt the same way about April and Andy- just like 10 degrees more broad than what I think works best about the show. It's not something I'd really even notice or care about- but with The Office doing similar things to their characters it makes me nervous. Please remember, P&R people, that these are fully developed characters and not shortcuts to punchlines.

A lot of this was still great and its still one of the best 3 shows on TV.

I'd prefer it if Leslie Wasn't running. Kinda miss the season 2-3 mini plot arcs where they could slip in and out of em. Tom/Ron are being underused. They're struggling to find good stuff for Tom since the end of 720. Ron is better when he's underplaying.

Show is still working towards one of my favorite ever though, and these are just nit points. There's rarely if ever throwaway dialogue like you'd see in so many sitcoms that have 24 ep seasons. That's an incredible achievement.

Just watched the episode again. I enjoyed most of the political campaign stuff, but talk about running the "Andy runs into things" joke into the ground. He ran into or hit his head on something at least four or five times.

It's a way to get the show over with the unwashed masses. Seinfeld profited big-time from people who vastly preferred Kramer to George.
