This isn't "a grudge" though. She asks a friend of hers-- who is a hugely grandstanding and selfish friend to begin with-- to help her with her campaign, and-- surprise!-- he makes it all about himself. But we're supposed to sympathize because... he has awful business sense?
It's not a grudge to stop being friends with a person who constantly acts like a selfish and ****ty person.
