ratings are continuing to decline - last 4 episodes are all in the 5 lowest rated of the series. count on this being the last season.

i can't find any info about the next episode, so i'm assuming it won't be until next year

It's NBC's 6th highest rated scripted show, is a full season away from syndication, and is produced by NBC Universal. It's in relatively good shape.

Sepinwall didn't have Mad Men on there at all?

ETA- Wow- didn't realize it hasn't actually aired in 2011.

I know you were sad you couldn't get ticket to the watch the throne tour so I got you a watch and a tiny throne instead. And she even took out the dumb watch part and put this in instead ... (click) baller time.

out of deep boredom, i decided to watch s1e1 and see if knowing all these characters more (and loving them) would make the premiere watchable. i got thru it, but still no doubt why i/we thought it sucked so bad. definitely didn't laugh once. gonna watch s1e2 though anyway...

The only decent ep from S1 is episode six, 'The Rock Show' imo.

Not true. The show became good the moment Ron Swanson was played the way we know him now. I think it was episode 4, might have been episode 3.

In the first season, he was more of a foil for Leslie than anything, and Leslie was a completely different character. In the fourth episode, he stands up for Leslie, which makes him more respectable, but he still wasn't really all that funny imo. It took the first half of season 2 to make him to amazing character we have now.

I think it's S2E2 that gives us the immortal "I was born ready. I'm Ron ****ing Swanson."

I may have said this somewhere, but I worked on the DVD Box Set for Season 1. Before working on this show, I never would have checked it out because of my extreme hate for Amy Poehler. Needless to say, I was shocked that she could play "normal".

When I work on something, I generally have to watch it about 4 or 5 times in the process of the work being completed. I remember going home after the project was completed, and forcing my wife to watch the episodes on hulu. At the time, I said that I thought that might be my new favorite show, but I had no clue why I liked it so much, since there was no "real" story. Partially into season 2, it was really easy to figure out the reason why I liked the show so much was because of the cast/characters. I just genuinely liked every character on the show (outside of Brandanewiecz, or however that is spelled). It's pretty rare that you have the level of character development and chemistry that this show has had from pretty early on. The show was not tight in the first few episodes, but there is definitely some great stuff by the middle of the first season. If nothing else, that season is why April and Tom ended up being two of my favorite characters on the show.

When my mom came to visit, I got her into this show, and I watched all of season 1, again (pretty recently). There were definitely some cringes pretty early on, but the season, as a whole, was pretty good, though not nearly as good as it is now.

I think that was the point where they figured out exactly what they wanted to do with Ron and a legend was born.

So, after hearing much about this serie I got around to watch it. Started earlier this week and finally caught up all the seasons/episodes.

I love it. Season 1 got me confused. I didnt really care for any character, i found Andy funny but that's pretty much it. Didnt have any big laugh moment or anything. It's around the middle of season 2 that it really speeded up i think. I really started to have great laughs, the stories were more intresting, the acting too and the delieveries of the jokes really picked up.

Looking back, i think season1 is like a whole pilot season. They had to take time to implement all the characters (which i think is kinda rare in a comedy serie).

Season 3 was really awesome, and season 4 is in the same track so ... Loving it.

I'm really enjoying this kind of comedy with moving cameras (or whatever it's called, i dont remember. The opposite of Friends/TBBT, etc, with a lot of locations, no laugh tracks and more subtle jokes), thanks to Community and now parks&rec.

It's called single-camera comedy.

he's on the cover of another wood working magazine too, unless that's the same one. there was one in Barnes and Noble the other day of him in a cabbie hat holding something.
