Really disappointed we don't have more Minka Kelly in this show, I totally thought that her hitting on the dad was a super obvious and inevitable plotline as soon as she showed up.
Yah actors older than the characters are pretty standard I think.

Haven't liked the last 2 weeks as much. Craig T. had some lolines - he's one of the few tv dads along with Jack on the Wonder Years that comes across as so...identifiable to me at least. But that's just one of the plotlines along with Amber/Steve that seems kind of forced to me. None of the 4 kids sensed any problems growing up? His wife is just now acting on her urge for a more educated mate in her 60's? I guess that's possible but meh. If it's going to turn into a 90210 soap then yah, they might as well give Kelly and the chick who consults Max more camera time for eye candy purposes.

I also thought it was kind of strange. I obv assumed there was some backstory but the kids just simply went to "Dad is a cheater" without any idea of what happened. Cheating isn´t a stellar contribution to a marriage but I´d think I´d like to know why more than anything, unless it was totally obvious.

I like how they manage to give every one of the cast members a moment every now and then, like this ep with the "Timmmmm" running joke.

I've seen people who get great rage over cheating in a marriage and know other people who think that there had to be something the other person did wrong. Other people have different standards as to what constitutes adultery it seems to be different for everyone.

In this show it seems as if the parents grew apart after the kids left and the kids are still trying to figure out how and are angry at themselves for not seeing it and blame their father for the whole mess, because their mother is perfect. Which would be consistent with their upbringing with a hardass dad and a super caring and do anything for you mom.

I really enjoy the way this show has managed to stay away from manufactured drama. You don't really have the moment where you say, "Wait, why the hell would someone act like that?" The characters are diversified enough to provide the appropriate reaction and create the appropriate drama.

Uh, oh, didn't think I was enjoying this show as much as I am.

I really don't have anything pertinent to add however I do like this show. The fact that it's "On Demand" is really nice because I don't have a DVR.

This explanation makes a lot of sense, nicely put.

i had little to no emotional reaction to this episode whatsoever (the dueling cousins is not doing it for me) until the final scene where monica potter is standing in the doorway and i then realized i'll be happy in life if i end up with a wife like the one moinca potter plays.

oh and the lawyer mom looked hawt tonight. i'm normally meh about her but she just moved up in my book

Literally every thought I had.

Three comments to my wife:

1. Re: the episode, "meh".

2. Lawyer mom looking almost as hot as she did in Swimfan. Pretty hard to look much hotter if you're a great swimmer, which I've read she is.

3. I fell in love with Monica Potter when I was 11.

imdb trivia supports your claim, which is funny to me cuz i've made the observation to people who know erika christensen the actress that if there was ever a biopic made about olympic gold medalist swimmer natalie coughlin, erika, as her doppelganger, would be the perfect cast.

I feel like I grew to like this show more and more each episode and I'm definitely looking forward to next season. As much as I usually can't stand Dax Shepard, I hope he doesn't stay in New York to the point he gets written out.

Until the final scene I really hoped the old couple would get divorced and I don't know why. But I really liked the last scene and Coach signing definitely sealed the deal for me rooting for them.

also, i think there will be a lot more minka kelly this season considering the introduction of the crosby/her dynamic and crosby's lady being on the other coast/possibly europe.

Yeah they definitely seemed to tease something between them later in the season. Am I the only one who also thought they might be teasing a breakup of Adam and Christina? It seems lazy to do 2 "breakups" in 2 seasons, but the story could work well considering the fact that divorce rates are higher among parents of children with Aspergers.

Yeah, I think we're heading for a Crosby/Minka Kelly flirtation/relationship/whatever. I really don't care what happens as long as Minka Kelly gets more screen time. BTW, Jabar and his mom were both in the opening credits, so I think it's safe to say they'll be around quite a lot.

Not so sure about a possible Adam/Christina breakup, but given the amount of fighting between them it seems possible.

Good episode, looking forward to the rest of the season. Loved the new dynamic between Coach and his wife.

Wasn't a big fan of the William Baldwin addition. The whole first season they made it seem like Adam was running the whole show. Even to a certain extent making it look like it was his own business. Now all of a sudden he has a dickhead boss who is up his ass all of the time?

I can't see an Adam/Christina break-up just because of the dynamic that the autism brings to the show. Watching each member of the family deal with different aspects of his behavior is a part of half of the episodes. Breaking them up would change the whole storyline and they have so many more roads they can travel down before they have to resort to it breaking them up.

Agreed I thought what the heck I thought he owned it.

See Minka playing a bigger role also. Not the best opener but still like this show

Men watch this show and like it? Interesting. My husband has tolerated it a couple of times, but I can tell he'd rather not. What's the deal with you people?
