Just caught up on all the episodes, did not expect much from it, but I've actually enjoyed it.

I don't think it's quite figured itself out yet, but it's getting better. It's a pretty cliche feel-good type deal, but it's done well which isn't surprising seeing that it's Ron Howard/Brian Grazer.

Think the show has potential to be a tremendous success if it can get over this initial hump and survive in to another season.

Peter Krause is good as always. The women on it are all pretty cute imo. Craig T Nelson rules.

Definitely worth watching the first few for those who don't mind the hour long comedy/drama genre

Agree on the women and Craig T. Damn though, just read on wiki that Maura Tierney was originally supposed to be on it. I <3 her.

I was wondering how long before this got its own thread.

I thought the pilot was mediocre but after that it's been rock solid. And last night's episode had Minka Kelly, so that's always a plus.

As you mentioned, it's sometimes a little too cliched (overachieving lawyer feels guilty about not being there for her kids, slacker tries to avoid growing up, curmudgeonly grandpa, etc.). It's also a little bit ridiculous that four adult siblings get along so swimmingly. But it gets so much stuff dead-on that it makes up for its shortcomings.

it's a very good version of your usually awful feel good tv family drama

probably because production is so badass

I'll admit I started watching because of Erika Christensen and Lauren Graham.

Erika's a little older and a little thicker but still hot and Lauren Graham is stunning.

I was suprised that I am actually kind of enjoying the show.

I've been enjoying this show too.

The showrunner is Jason Katims who also worked on Friday Night Lights. FNL was always great at taking cliche storylines and really doing them well. I doubt this show could get to FNL level quality but it's been enjoyable thus far. Plus Peter Kraus is awesome.

The show seems expensive with the big cast and it probably should be on at 8 or 9 but a renewal looks likely.

Interesting discussion no doubt. The blonde chick totally does it for me.

Great stuff with the ex-boyfriend from Fresno this week.

An under-rated show. Watch it.

Yah I'm really enjoying it. Maybe the sappy stuff just gets to me easier as I approach 30. But the Krause-Potter dialogue is great.

Adam's wife. Like Lauren too. I think the Lawyer is the ugliest 1 ainec. To each his own.

I'd bang all of the wives, for what it's worth. No preference, any of them would be just fine.

I'm caught up except the first 2-3 shows which for some reason NBC doesn't let you watch online or on demand. Are they airing again over the summer?
Lol @ tonight's preview: Haddie dumps boyfriend who then macks on Amber?

You forget the allure of the girl who puts out.

Random observations:
- actress who plays Amber is 21
- actress who plays Haddie is 18
- actor who plays Drew is 15
- actor who plays Steve is 21.

Really disappointed we don't have more Minka Kelly in this show, I totally thought that her hitting on the dad was a super obvious and inevitable plotline as soon as she showed up.

Did anyone else randomly blurt out, "Her?," during the part where Amber says she slept with Steve?

lolol. Fortunately her character is quite a bit different than Bland. I mean Ann.

Also, in the world of strange coincidences, I was watching SVU reruns today and there was an episode where Mae Whitman guest-starred. Damn good actress IMO.
