When Felix asked if Olivier had any enhancements and neo lady said, "You have no idea." I was expecting Deus Ex Machina not a creepy butt penis.

Well things just got weird.

Loved Allana dancing in the club holding the cut off tail.

I was expecting him to have just a big prehensile penis and his party trick was like stirring martinis with it. I guess I was close...

Ha, loved that too.

Just caught up with this show. Is pretty good. I'm really impressed with the actress. I wonder how much she's getting paid to basically play half the characters on the show, lol.

Tatiana Maslany's so incredibly talented. She makes the show. Some of the side characters could be developed a bit more and I'm worried the show's mythology is going to get too convoluted (Neolution? What?), but I'm loving Orphan Black so far.

Tatiana's mom character is such a hot little bitch. Love her.

This thread had made me curious, and I finally got around to watch the first episode last night. Then I acquired the next six episodes and watched those too, getting to bed far too late.

I'm liking it. I'm slightly concerned where the story is going in the long run, but I'm mostly watching because it's somewhat exciting and because the actress is just great. She also looks so much like Lyndsy Fonseca in early Nikita episodes (especially as the science girl character) that I'm having trouble separating the two. Her soccer mom character also looks a lot like someone else, it's pretty amazing the transformations she goes through, in appearance as well as demeanor.

Will keep watching.

Yeah that was pretty great. What was Helena planning to do with Kira before she changed her mind and let Kira go home?

Also confirmed crush on the main actress.

Helena is just a total mess. I don't think she has a rhyme or reason to her actions.

i loved Cosima and Allison both getting busy at the same time. The actress obviously must love playing Allison the most - she's just so much fun.

Didn't see that ending coming.

The only thing I'm not liking is that the Max Headroom guy is just your standard villain, with no real dimension to him. He says he wants to protect the clones (and to be fair, we don't know his motivation yet), nu he's also ruthless - why kill Olivier? What did he do wrong?

And the guy who is controlling Helena is also not very interesting. Seems like your basic religious wacko.

The writers have done such a great job with making every clone a separate, three-dimensional character... and the supporting roles are also well-defined: French chick, the gay, brother, Vic, Art, etc. Okay, Paul is a bit bland.

French chick is so hot, too.

This has the capacity to finish really great or just completely self-destruct into a big mess.

Grunching!!

Been considering this. How does it rate in between some of the higher level shows currently airing. I'm not usually a fan of BBC stuff, but I kinda want to check this out.

Second tier, verging on top tier imo. Writing and character development seems to be really solid so far, acting esp from the lead is really really strong and while it is slow to develop (in a good way) the show clearly knows what it is and where it is going.

It is 9 eps down and hasnt had a specifically bad ep yet imo, though it was slow to get going and find its feet so you need to give it a few to grab you. As they start opening up the story and introduce more characters it picks up.

Great episode tonight...obviously, Kira is some kind of super mutant.

Allison is my favorite clone. She's so damn funny.

question: when did Sarah find out Art helped Beth in the shooting of Maggie Chen? I must've missed that.

yeah, really good episode

all the Maggie Chen stuff is confusing to me too...it's easily the weakest part of the show (same with pretty much everything related to Art and the cops)

I blew through this show in a few days after hearing some positive buzz. I'm pretty hooked, though I agree that it feels like the show could go off the deep end at any moment. I guess that's kind of the thrill of each episode though, and they've pulled off a good balancing act so far.

Maslani is giving, imo, the best performance on TV in this show. It's really mindblowing and I'm kind of obsessed with her now. I shudder to think of what this show would be like without someone that talented holding it together. Even when the show is kind of in a lull or a scene isn't amazingly written, it's always fun to just watch her act her face off.

Looking forward to the season finale tonight a lot. This show has been a gem of the 2012/13 year.

I suspect it isnt on the radar but whenever the Emmies roll around next Tatiana should win best actress and its not even remotely close.

They should have a web series where she plays all of her characters doing impressions of other characters on other shows just cos **** it why not, the set up is one night all of them sit down to watch TV so each ep is her doing four characters doing impressions of one character from one show. Its like inception man, minds would be blown.

I feel like this show regardless of how long it goes on for will be one of those cult shows that never got the recognition it deserved but will be promoted from TV fan to TV fan and it will end up completely huge like a decade after it was on. Of course I thought the same about That 80s Show...so maybe I am not the best judge.

If there was a way to buy stock in this girl as a future star, I'd be slamming the buy button right now. Great finale, what a surprisingly good show. How they've managed to not let it spiral out of control into the realm of ridiculousness is beyond me.

I don't know if this necessarily is a future cult classic, but I've definitely enjoyed the first season a lot and want to see more. At least 98% of that enjoyment is Maslany, though of course that's kinda easy to say when she's like 98% of the cast to begin with. Seriously though bring on the emmys or the future star buy button or whatever, she's just great.

Pitch perfect finale, balanced a bunch of reveals with a bunch of new questions perfectly.

I still dont rate it amongst the best of the best but it isnt far off imo. Another season of that quality and it is up there.
