My prediction: Jack dies trying to kill Smokie. All hope is lost. The remaining candidates struggle over who takes control. Somehow Linus steps up and becomes protector of the island and the light. He realizes the only way to destroy Smokie is to destroy the island and himself. He must stop it all. He does this but something goes wrong at the last second. Something in the alternate reality goes awry. We see another Oceanic flight crash on the island in the alternate reality as it is concurrently being destroyed by Linus. The whole process starts over with the Oceanic 6 and the game never ends.....LOST

prediction: the cryptic ending of the lost video game will still make no sense after the finale

also, the island will somehow launch into space and nuke earth from orbit with undetonated jughead

Mine:

Ben will sacrifice himself to defeat MiB. This is his redemption in the show for killing Jacob.

Jack wont leave but if any Losties survive they will escape, prob with his help.

Flocke will be killed, but i assume there will be a replacement in some way so they can mirror the beach scene from last season. My money is on Sawyer because of the odd couple awesomeness. Given he is "infected" as the smoke monster Jack wont let him leave (the point of the show is it is cycles within cycles and it all repeats).

The BIG grey area is i have ZERO idea how the alt time works into the story at this point.

Also the alt. reality really confuses me too. No clue at all where they are going with it. I just assume it is to show that the cycle never ends.

anyone re-watch the pilot last night - and see the scene where people are on the beach - the morning after they've seen smokey shaking the trees -

someone says "did it sound like something familiar to anyone else?"
then someone says "where are you from?"
and the person says "the Bronx (or maybe brooklynn, don't remember)"

Damn...I was washing down the last bite of lunch when Locke says "Shhh, I F#@ked your sons dog" and literally almost chocked to death

i believe this is a reference to the smoke monster's tch-tch-tch sound effect being that of a new york cab's receipt printer

I'm very glad I checked this thread as watching a few of the clips posted has somewhat washed away the disappointment of this season and reminded me how awesome the overall Jack-Locke-Desmond arc really is. Much more fired up for tonight then I thought I would be.

all i ask is that they keep the love triangley/squarey stuff to a minimum. last season's finale was like 60% kate/jack/sawyer/juliet bull****

Got someone to cover my shift at work today so I could watch the finale live. Woke up this morning to find my dog **** on my work pants and promptly threw my back out bending over to pick something up.

Taken 3 aleve and using the heating pad. Episode better not let me down or this will officially be up there as one of the worst days ever.

The whole first season was the best for me. The mix between character driven plots and crazy bat**** mystery was great.

As I clicked on the thread I'm just thinking "why am I doing this?? There's 100% chance that there's a spoiler in here already." But it was worth it for the Kimmel link.

That was great especially for the ****eating grin that Locke had when he said it, but my favorite is:

i remember about 3 years ago, sitting around w/ my buddies puffing a vapo and saying "i figured it out - there is a guy named jacob who lives in a foot and smokey is jacob's former brother who jacob tossed into a magical light at the center of the Island in a fit of rage after brother murdered their fake mom"

everyone looked at me like i was crazy but i got the last laugh!!

obv the real ending is going to be a TV first - a joint series finale between LOST and 24 - Widmore's plan was not to bring Desmond back to the Island but rather to put Jack Bauer in a Desmond mask and reveal him for the final epic battle vs MiB. Bauer defeats MiB (obv) and saves the day and in return the rest of the LOSTIES escape to NYC to help Bauer defeat a US and Russian President. gg.

I've watched Lost from the start. I always thought I'd throw a party the day it ended. I can remember watching episodes and being completely mind blown for an hour after. Up until this season I watched each episode twice before the next one. This season has disappointed me so much I'm not even excited for the finale, but at least my perception of Lost does not hinge on it. Hope everyone gets the answers the were looking for. Enjoy!

Like Jack Shephard, Kobe had a great start to his career. Kobe won three straight championships with the Lakers while Jack had probably one of the best first seasons of any character on television.

Unfortunately, both lost their way in the middle as they struggled with leading their respective groups. Jack got addicted to pills, and Kobe almost forced his way out of L.A.

Thankfully, they both have come around. Jack has accepted his fate and is poised to take over the job of protecting the island, and a second straight championship is looking pretty good to Kobe right now.

Nah, its just a way for the writers to come up with a bunch of names that arent dumb.

It is also a hint that you are supposed to look further into the show than just what they say.

6 years and now it's about to end, damn..
