it seemed like all the stabbing (other than the finger game) took place upstairs though. plus it was perfectly placed dripping down from the deer's eye. thats not insignificant

It's probably Naz's blood from when he went back in and cut his hand.

I just wrote that off as them over-doing that scene for dramatic effect. We will see if it ends up meaning anything.

I can't remember for sure, but I think it's on the way up the stairs.

Hmmmm. Not sure I understand the direction the show is taking or that was mainly a filler episode.

Grunch

Ep 3 was a weird turn for the worse in vibe/plot

Pilot was pretty decent, but I thought the whole "live a little, try it. oh, you stabbed me in the hand? oh well, let's bang" scene was pretty goddamned ridiculous. Better ways they could've used to frame her as reckless, and unstable, or whatever, imo.

I don't care what happens to Naz. I just hope Jack Stone solves his feet problem.

First episode was pretty good next two were zzzzzzz hoping for more exposition on who snuck into the house to murder that girl was it the guy from sin city who moves like the wind? Tyler Durden type situation for Nas maybe? I'm underwhelmed to this point IMO

at least if he gets convicted he can bank on sarah taking up his case on season 3 of serial.

episode 3 just introduced way too much standard tv drama. show was plugging along like we were watching real life, then omar banging a prison guard and it turned into OZ

The show and actors are really doing a great job with the mood and helplessness they are feeling. Turturo did a great job when nas told him he wasn't his attorney anymore. I am surprised by the hate for the episode.

enjoyed all the turturo parts. no complaints there

yep. went from ultra-realism with focus on every detail to jamming every tv prison trope into one episode.

I agree but was happy they got away from the over-directing from the 2 episodes. I'm pretty sure they hired the most promising student from the NYU Film School Class of 2015 to direct. He worked in so many unnecessarily artsy camera angles. Felt too showy and detracted from the plot.

losing interest. this is an hour show that feels like a 4 hour show. i'm starting to think Nas's performance is almost too understated. i don't want to see a guy full on have a panic attack, but the blank stare as stuff gets worse and worse is starting to be a bit unbelievable. i understand shock, but come on.

why the **** does omar care to help nas?

and why does the teardrop tat guy care about giving nas advice either?

all we need is adebisi and ryan o'reilly and rick fox and ll cool j to show up and sister pete and the asian priest. actually it would be pretty awesome if vern schillinger was in this, needs nazis imo

I imagine omar will want something in return for helping nas. Regarding tear drop guy: The best way to get a quick answer is to do/say something wrong, people love to correct or feel like they are giving advice.

yeah because i'm sure giving advice or help to the guy who is targeted by the entire prison is a +ev move
