Finished the season. Was still pretty great tv, I thought it was slightly subpar to the last couple (which were amazing).

I'm not thrilled about them going in the Jess+Nick direction already. I would've wanted a proper dose of Nick+Megan Fox first. Now it just seems like Nick+Megan will be a thing for ~3 episodes and then it will be Nick+Jess. I wonder if they are planning to end the show after next season, since I always figured when Nick and Jess next get back together will be how they end it. It's unavoidable that it'll happen but it seems to be happening faster than I thought. The other option is having them break up again but that would also suck.

I think they have to get Jess pregnant to Nick before they can end it though, Nick being a dad just offers so many hilarious possibilities that they can't possibly not take advantage of that.

This would be awesome.

Yup, can't say it's been massively memorable though. I thought the Brooklyn 99 crossover was fun.

Why have they gone off for the last few weeks? Election stuff?

I think it's been pretty solid without being spectacular. Still makes me laugh more than any other comedy at the moment (though not really watching many other ones).

They're back this Tuesday I think.

Its still quite reliable as a simple to watch sitcom. Nothing much to talk about, but pics of CeCe would be fine

XMas show was pretty good.

Season ends this Tuesday. Could be a possible series finale as the show hasn't been renewed yet. I read somewhere that Jake Johnson believes this is the final season. Perfectly fine with it ending. Assume Nick/Jess will get together again and a Cece pregnancy.

I thought the last two episodes were great, with the two Winstons, and Winston's radio show.

It definitely feels like it's coming to a natural end. Will be sad to see it go. They've had a really solid run.

Yeah, I think it's coming to a natural end. Can't have this successful author and bar owner, cop, businessman and high school principal living as roommates forever. Even if that apartment with that interior, if it existed, would cost $5k/month. Last month I went to the Korean restaurant and bar that is the interior for Nick's bar. Pretty cool place. Interior also appeared in Mad Men and Chinatown. I've also seen the building that is the exterior for their apartment many times.

Will be sad to see it go (if it goes). Last two episodes (as mentioned before) were brilliant. Still my favorite comedy on TV by a long way.

Yeah this has been a really solid show throughout. I always thought it probably suffered from that godawful pilot episode that must have turned lots of people away from the show. I watched it, thought it was so bad I didn't even want to give the show another chance, and then very very randomly saw a S2 ep years later and was like wow that was good and watched the whole show. I'm glad I did.

That episode very much felt like a final episode ever Was well done (as always). Currently the equal highest ranked episode on IMDb.

Satisfying finale. An absolutely hilarious show at its peak.

I think she was the glue though. Much like Jerry on Seinfeld.

When she was pregnant and not on the show, i thought it was better.

While Fox was better than expected, I don't think it was better while Jess was out.

The rating on IMBd show that the 6 episodes she missed ranked between 7.3 and 7.7 (the shows season average was about 7.7 to 7.8).

But you are right. She is a pretty weak character. But her being more stable (normal) allowed the other characters to be more crazy. Like I mentioned before, like Jerry on Seinfeld.

I thought Jess had a lot of really funny bits. It's more that the whole quirky thing got a bit tiresome after so many episodes.
