Sadly it hasn't even started on Starz yet.

Beyond that, it's like in the Starz universe S2 doesn't even exist. Nothing on the web-site, and no teasers pinned onto other shows. Very strange considering everything in the early releases about the casting and shooting of S2 mentioned it still being associated with Starz. And for sure when they did S1 the Starz airings trailed the UK ones by only a matter of a couple of weeks.

Me too. Download in 720p or 1080p, stream to your Smart TV (which almost all somewhat recent TVs are, these days). If your TV isn't "smart", you can probably use Google Chromecast to work around it. Did I mention no commercials too this way ?

There are great free/cheap solutions, really!

Perhaps when he said "prefer watch on tv" he also might've not so subtly been implying that he also respects IP rights enough not to want to, you know, download things illegally.

Finished. Some spoiler-free thoughts:

Really strong start & really strong finish. My main nit is that there are a few story arcs in the middle that were a little bit unnecessary in the end, and that time could've been used better. Other than that this was really good. It didn't quite have the magic of S1 for me personally but in the end I was invested just as much as I was in S1. The detective/investigation part of the story is a lot better/deeper than S1 imo so people that love those type of shows will probably really enjoy it.

Overall I think this is my favorite second season of the recent shows that start an "entire" new story in S2. Can't think of anything that comes close. Good to know it can be done .

In case anyone is curious, in spoilers the links to S1 (written in a way that wont ruin anything):

Spoiler:
Baptiste and his wife are the only recurring characters I spotted. There are a couple of references to S1s plot but they wouldn't even feel out of place if you hadn't seen S1.

just watched s1 and s2...

Spoiler:
So in season 1 the kid chases a fox, like REALLY? Then we spend the whole season before finding out it was the hotel guy, ok great. Wouldn't they have needed an albi anyway?

Then in season 2 we put up with this freaky ass girl and her horrible brother, only to be introduced to the killer near the end of the season, impossible for us to guess/work that one out. Seems strange to me to have a show where you spend 6 eps doing the business then in ep 7 oh hi new character, he did it. Then ep 8 was pretty dumb going to get the killer unarmed after he was alerted to their presence by the dog.

Why would the brother actually put the lock on the shed door? Just pretend, if she tests it, pretend again. Don't actually lock her in.

Baptiste was awesome, great actor, great character.

Spoiler:
s2 killer wasn't a new character, albeit not a very important character

Spoiler:
I'm not 100% sure but I'm convinced he was introduiced by at least episode 4. Anyway, I don't think this is the type of detective show where the audience figuring it out is an important part of the show, especially given the multi-timeline storytelling. It's about what impact a missing child has on the close family and the police trying to find her and in a wider context all the other involved parties.

pretty sure he was in E1 but not 100%

For those like me who are waiting to watch Season 2 in the US via legitimate means, I reached out to Starz via its web-site and they said Season 2 is still indeed planned to air at some point, but there's no set premiere date as of now.

Finished last night, really enjoyed it. Probably even slightly better than the first season imo.

Lots of love for Baptiste character/actor.

I feel like this how has some "The Killing" vibe. Watch it if you liked The Missing.

Just finished season 1....very good.

In answer to some of things posted above:

Khalid was killed in prison by order of George...it wasn't a coincidence he got shanked right before he could meet with the Hughes and Julien.

The only thing I had a problem with was the sobriety coin being found, like it was obviously some big clue....Alain lived right there, it would not be uncommon for him to lose something every now and then, you know? And why Khalid and the writer both thought it was an important enough clue to hide, I have no idea.

I really liked the actor who played the poor pedophile...the desperation to change and his misery were just heart-breaking. We really do need to find a way to treat these people.

I will say I thought the female detective was cute as a button.

Good news for those - like me - who've been waiting for Season 2 on Starz. It was just announced that all 8 episodes will be available as of the premiere date (2/12), so at least we won't have to wait two months to watch everything:

Watched S2/E1 and was nowhere near as hooked in as S1/E1, But I believe in the writers so hopefully this will be a winner if not on a par with S1 than at least in the same ballpark.

Question - since all of S2 can be binged starting Sunday and has already aired everywhere else, can we talk about E2-E8 right away without spoiler tags, or should we adhere to the regular weekly broadcast schedule?

Spoiler:
Season 1 was arguably my favorite show of 2014. I thought Season 2 was a massive step down into meh/average -- good in places, but bad more often. The melodrama was really annoying.

I wasn't loving E1-E2, but it steps up in 3 and 4 IMO.

I knew going in that The Governor from TWD would be a main character, but lo and behold there's Lydia from Breaking Bad too. Had no idea she wasn't US-born. It's like a mini AMC reunion!

Finished S2. Agree 100% with Rei's comments. Here are some specifics:

Spoiler:
Hated finding out who did it in E5. Too much time in Iraq, and on filler stuff. And LOL at the idea Stone would go along with things, even if being blackmailed. Did I still enjoy it? Yes, I suppose. But definitely a let down versus season one, which I thought was gripping and an emotional roller coaster, plus had some red herrings but not outright filler.
