I tend to watch in 3 episode bursts. So good, they just fly by. Pretty devastating combo of sex, history, relationships, science. I hope they can keep it up.

I can't be the only one hoping that the Masters baby is half black?

Tough time slot and no real "stars" on the show. Plus, period pieces have never been ratings gold. For all the critical love Mad Men gets it's never had more than 2.7 million viewers for an episode, which is really low. And here we're talking about Showtime, which is available in even fewer markets than AMC.

Maybe things will improve if/when the show gets some Emmy love, but don't count on it.

finally got time to watch this episode. good stuff. not great, but good. all the acting is really solid. this week's story was just kinda meh. i like the female doctor. her story is good. it's too bad she and johnson can't work together, but i guess johnson has to end up working with masters.

really effed up how that girl got pregnant and is just sol

This was one of my favorite episodes so far. Masters blowing up on Virginia and Ethan (justifiably!) was great. Virginia's quitting speech to Masters at the end. Also great. And Alison Janney elevates any episode she's in.

That was easily one of the best episode of TV this year.

I'm looking more forward to this finale then I was for Boardwalk Empire (only by a very small margin) and am for Homeland (by a huge margin).
