This is awful if it turns out to be true, but as a piece of journalism, even online gossip journalism, that article is terrible. One of the "sources" they quote is a commenter on a previous Gawker post. Doug Stanhope claimed responsibility for the incident in question. When they actually tried to contact one of the alleged victims, she said "first of all, your facts are wrong. and secondly, i don't want to be a part of this story. i'm sure you understand."

It's possible this will turn out to be the beginning of some horrible Cosby-like revelations about CK. For now though, 'Gawker is a pos website that will print anything it thinks will get pageviews' is my takeaway from this.

ya yeti linked a good article discussing how awful the gawker peice is and pointing out all the "material" gawker had was from months ago but they waited till louis was hosting finale of SNL to publish further lending credence that it's bull **** bait click.

if they really had such incriminating evidence on the biggest comedian on the planet seems pretty unlikely they sit on it for so long.
n its not like they were waiting to try and collect more evidence as they clearly arr happy to publish that crap with zero actual evidence.
