I think we'll find out, but I doubt it will be something as innocuous as her falling off her bike. I need to re-watch but there seemed to be something going on with her back as well... at one point Kevin was scratching it, and there seemed to be some weirdness when he was helping her undress and he unzipped down her back... I don't think they showed any marks or anything on her back, though.

Loved the first ep as per usual. The only thing more astonishing than this show is the fact that no one besides 2p2ers and critics watch it.

I'm not super pumped about this whole is Kevin Garvey Jesus storyline though. I was always a big fan of the "is he crazy or not" idea and it was done very well. I'm not particularly looking forward to this going in the direction of him not being crazy but possibly unbreakable.

Also, give all the awards to Justin Theroux and Carrie ****. (Edit: apparently 2p2 does not like the last name of the actress who plays Nora)

maybe some people heal and others break down in this town?

miracles for some? damnation for others?

keep things balanced...

re-watched "Cairo" from S1 the other day (the one where Kevin & Dean have abducted Patti), and now i'm wondering if maybe there is more than meets the eye with some of this stuff

anyway, tonight's piece of the puzzle should help with the understanding of it all

Tonight’s “The Leftovers” has two or three of my favorite moments in the entire series. It’s ever-so-good.

If the last scene is present time, how do those women know who Kevin is?

I was thinking it was the future again, like last episode. Made me wonder if the church Future Nora was taking the birds to was a Church of Kevin.

Do you think every time Kevin suffocates himself he has to go sing karaoke?

I bet he was glad he wasn't wacking it when he got caught with the bag!

Kevin Sr. apparently hadn't aged much, unlike future Nora. His appearance presumably indicates what was going on there was a precursor to Kevin and Nora's arrival in Australia.

Great episode.

I'm pretty sure the last scene is in the future - the women are quite clearly quoting scripture from the Book of Kevin (about the time when he plunged into the lake in front of Evie and friends).

Tonight's episode was a good indicator that Kevin/Nora have come a long way in terms of how loyal they are to each other. Last season, he confides in her that he's seeing Patti and she bolts in the night. Now she walks in on him asphyxiating himself with a plastic bag and she's all "nah, it's cool, I get it". And her reaction to 'let's have a baby' was absolutely perfect.

I'm still leaning towards the future Nora scene being more about her lying to protect Kevin in some way, and not because they're estranged or had a falling out.

my reaction to the first half of the ep: wut

and then, i swear to all the gods in this world that are holy, after Nora flipped out in the airport parking lot my reaction was "well this 2nd half is shaping up as Nora Durst ain't nothin' to **** with", kinda lost my mind after the Wu tat & "Jump Off" tramp scene lol

overall i felt like it was the worst ep of the series and i don't really know what Firewall & Iceberg were on about, but i guess it was good to see cousin Larry get some work? hopefully time and the rest of the series redeems it

or perhaps, as she was having hookers shoot her in S1 but also didn't want to die, she can relate to what he's going through in this case

think he said something similar to her about just wanting to be able to feel again

Are the Australia scene so far all 20 years in the future? I find it hard to believe that the god those women where looking for was Kevin Garvey Sr. it had to have taken place in the future

I'm all for suspending disbelief, and part of this show is about making fun of religious fanatics - but lol at the women drowning any police chief they find who happens to be named Kevin.

Ya for sure, but it's still a pretty ****ed up thing to walk in on and she just takes it in stride.

I like how they've made Nora have issues that don't go away. I kinda want to see her get the radiation incineration but obvs not gonna happen.

I was thinking it might be the last scene of the series.
