The instrumental of Metallica in the final was awesome

I think the idea is that this is a world filled with people who are depressed and completely confused. These are lost souls and nobody can make them feel better bc literally nobody has any idea what went on.

so at least with the GR you have likeminded individuals who have embraced the weirdness. they don't have answers either but they at least are embracing the weirdness that happened and taking advantage of people looking for direction.

that's why we have seen a few cults in this show (GR, Wayne, the bullseye people) - cults feast on directionless people and the world is full of them now

Thanks.

ETA: Never followed that band. Am amazed that they are not tatted up from head to toe.

Really like this show.

Also Apocalyptica makes decent version of that song:

Thanks for the video link. I was like ten when that song came out and we didn't get MTV, I always forget I can go back now and watch stuff like this :>

pretty incredible series imo. i even loved the first couple of episodes even though nothing was happening and was a bunch of WTF. Hard not to like a series which moves you emotionally so much.

dumb question: why was the baby just left alone? where was the son?

bc the son likely realized that he didn't want to raise this baby by himself either. but he didn't want it to die either so he took it someplace where at least something good would happen (the police chiefs doorstep)

Pretty confused about the low ratings on a lot of sites for this.

Episodes 1-2: kind of slow, but the premise made it worth waiting a bit

Episodes 3-8: I mostly liked, but was still unsure if I was going to give it another season

9- the end: Really delivered, and the finale was masterful TV.

It's possible that 80% of the reason I like the show is the score. Man it's got so much impact no matter how many times they go to the well and play it during dramatic scenes.
