Reminds them of entourage? Meh, don't see it really. based on the pilot its basically two guys who just hustle for some dough. Some interesting characters and potential.
i just saw it and it was pretty damn good. as for the entourage vibe, kinda, except it's just normal guy friends, not rich and famous. jane is pretty hot, used to be on the OC iirc. hopefully she's recurring as the other females are pretty average. i really dig half hour shows, easy to get into, not much investment.
def give pilot a shot, iffy on the show still, has potential to be really good though if they keep the same vibe.
entouragelike in the sense of they spend their days doing random ****.
other than that, its not too similar.
i liked it a lot. started off slow, but got some momentum. all the chiks are hot, pretty funny, the characters are likable, and there is cool random scenes that are useless (i think?) but still amusing (like the black kid selling candy on the train).
Definitely a show with potential, liked almost everything except the drunk yelling outside the ex's window scene. The Luis Guzman is character is random yet fun.
i wonder if new yorkers will have different reactions to this than people who haven't spent a lot of time in nyc. i actually was surprised by how little i liked it. i'll probably watch next week's at least, but i thought it was pretty bad.
The guys I know from New York said that it had a bit of an "LA Filter" on it. He also said that some of his douchebag friends thought it "nailed life in the city".

i guess i don't have enough douchebag friends who live that kind of life. i wonder how many people fall into the intersection of the fashion/art gallery world and the scammer lifestyle

Yeah, kind of agree. Also, stuff like "Do you know this doorman at random xx club?" and "Yes" coming from a guy working at Barney's and some other random doesn't ring true at all.
To be clear- he thought his douchebag friends were wrong, and that that observation was more about them being clueless douchebags who aspire to that non-existent life.
Not bad, will hinge on how annoying the friend is. That can get over the top really quick and I have no tolerance for that type of character.
Yeah, and that "until we are the man" line was way up there on the cringe-o-meter. I hate when stuff tries to be so cool but I did like the main character and see some potential. oh and Luis Guzman
